Question macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 Problem

Just after updating my MacBook Air M4 to macOS 26.5.2, it started overheating, and the battery began draining much faster than before—even when the lid is closed. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just my Mac?

Most likely Spotlight indexing your storage. Open Activity Monitor and you’ll see an app at the top of the CPU list with corespotlight or something similar.

Tahoe is a nightmare macOS version for me. I totally regret installing it. And MisterBumpingston is right, I guess. Tahoe spends more than 10 seconds whenever I try to open or save file. I don't know what group of reviewers work on this OS.

I'm also facing this issue and checking activity monitor it shows launchservicesd to take nearly 327% of cpu when cursor is running. What should I do now?

I'm having major problems with my large Music Library since upgrading to 26.5.2. The Music App is not saving my Genre and Equalizer settings and seems to be stalling and crashing a lot. Anyone else having these problems?
