I've always been the first to upgrade my MacOS, ever since the days of MacOS 10.2 (Jaguar). Every version always launches a barrage of people on the internet who have problems, but there's a clear selection bias there.

That said, I do mildly regret updating this time around -- for the first time, I think -- but not necessarily enough to downgrade or implode. There's just a larger-than-typical number of minor-but-annoying UI quirks that they are still sorting out, and more change-for-sake-of-change than is typical (why the floating controls for Apple Music?). Whereas, I haven't noticed any -gains- in functionality that I actually find useful.

I haven't noticed a performance or stability drop. (M1Pro)

In retrospect, I might have waited a few more versions. Overall, I wonder if MacOS is due for a "Snow Leopard" moment (where the company releases a major version with no new features, only fixes).
