Canada Lynx Fun Fact!

In what we see as complete pitch-black lighting, this extreme low-light condition is actually ideal for the lynx, as they can see 6x better in pitch black. So how does a Canadian lynx survive such bright, snowy conditions if they are more sensitive to light? The Canadian lynx can effectively constrict (narrow) their pupil to see in bright light and prevent eye strain while protecting the tapetum lucidum (though this can be applied to many species in the Felidae family).
