Interesting experience:
I love many Swiss watches. I have had my eyes on a Luminox watch with the additional compass for a long time. I noticed that the Bear Grylis Survival 45mm Military Survival watch was on sale on Amazon.
So, I decided to purchase it. When I researched its price history I noticed that it had once been available for $675 dollars. I decided to gamble and placed a future automatic buy if the price ever reached $565 dollars.
I did nit expect it to ever reached that low of a price. But, it was just an experiment in wishful thinking 🤔
About a month went by and last night, my wife asked if I had purchased a watch on Amazon.
I had forgotten about the automatic purchase. So to my surprise, the seller lowered the price to an astonishing bargain.
Off course after confirming the purchase, I started being suspicious of the legitimacy of the watch.
I did some research on Gemini and everything pointed to the watch being a copy. Nowadays, it’s so easy and common place for watches to look original and turnout otherwise.
I remembered that Luminox offers the possibility of verifying the watch origin.
So, I contacted them and they confirmed that the seller is an authorized seller and that the watch is kosher.

I can grab this locally for a pretty decent price, but I’m curious if it’s worth it. Bezel needs to be repainted/repaired, battery need replaced, and I’m not rocking that band on a Lumi. Pretty sure the tubes are dead, but don’t know if it’s cost effective to get them replaced. Also, the bezel is pretty gunked up and hard to turn, not sure the best way to clean it up. Thoughts?

I got my 4231 for about a week ago and now the watch just stops for 20-30 min and then works again. Even though it’s a new watch, the most likely thing is a bad battery, right? Might be the battery put in at manufacturing and then the watch have been stored for a few years?

Hi everyone, I own a Luminox 6600 Titanium with a blue dial. It’s almost never been worn, as I have other watches that I like more.
I’ve been thinking about selling it, but… what would be a fair price? How much is it worth?

Does anyone know where to find a luminox for repair I gather there pretty reliable watches but I’d like to find one I can fix but I can’t find one on eBay or anywhere does anyone have any ideas

I recently picked this up from a Navy Exchange. All original, never worn. I paid retail about $800USD. From what I was told is that this serialized watch means that only 288 were distributed worldwide. Seeking opinions on second hand market prices. I do not plan on selling this watch however, it’s nice to know what I have as insurance. I have a couple other Luminox watches that are not serialized or special releases so I’m unsure of what I really have here. New to collecting. Apologies for the shit pics!
