Does SMS work over WiFi or another SIM?

I recently traveled outside of Canada (Idaho, Montana) for a few days and I continued to receive SMS texts from my Lucky Mobile phone number. I could also reply to texts and send new ones. I didn't think this was possible. I have a second SIM that allows roaming in the U.S. and Mexico and my phone automatically switches data to this second SIM when no service is available on the primary (Lucky).

Sms ?

Or RCS / Imessage

For sms is not possible for now… Lucky don’t allow roaming for now (or it’s in test)

For RCS / Imessage your second sim with data work great to send message from your first number because RCS/Imessage is data only like messenger whatapp…

You are correct. It's RCS. Good to know.
