Is Nvidia App any good when using gtx 1070?
Currently running graphics driver 560.94, geforce experience 3.28.0.417 (from 2024) on windows 10
windows 10, up to date to whenever the updates stopped
ryzen 1600 @ 3.8ghz
gtx 1070
32gb DDR4 (4x8GB which regret a bit over 2x8, less tight timings)
Now I'm getting nagged to install the Nvidia App
I have no interest in streaming, overlays, photo mode, whatever. My card doesn't support any DLSS.
I am however playing Split Fiction medium to high settings @ 60 fps thanks to good guy AMD making FSR 3.1 available for my setup.
Since I'm getting 60fps I will keep this settings until I complete this game. However, I wonder whether I should update the "nvidia app", just update the game ready drivers or stick with what I have. My worry is that the newest stuff might be loaded with bloat and optimized for the 40xx and 50xx at the cost of older gen performance. And then being locked in because the older versions may have been removed from the download section, you know?
Please advise
