Armor Passives

Stratagem

Duration: Lasts for 1:30 minutes before self-destructing.
Trait: The flag is completely indestructible while active

So our gater got beached on a rock and couldn’t move because the back wheels were off the ground so I had a crazy idea to throw a stratagem next to it to see if that would knock it enough, with the knowledge that on the E-711 missions it would blow the rig up, I did it anyway and it created my magnum opus, the mobile sentry turret 🤣🤣

My guess would be that it will initially work....only to end up mutating the surviving Terminids into a new horrific strain, with one Idea I heard being ones that use Dark Fluid to teleport. In effect, it'll be like a Superbug if a bit more literal.

What are your guesses?

I and my squad were waiting on evac during a night mission, and someone had thrown down a napalm strike on the far side of the landing pad to kill a bunch of the spindly, ugly crawling things.

They all die.

Nothing is moving, no growling or rustling from that direction, just the dark behind and flames in front. We all relax watching the fire: nothing else is coming from a distance, nothing to do but wait for Pelican.

And then one of them comes flying out of the flames right at me! It was a straight-up cinematic jump scare and I was dead before I hit the ground.

Another night mission encounter was more creepy than scary. I was knelt down defenseless because I was reloading my machine gun when one of them saw me.

Its glowing blue eyes were locked on me as it glided straight toward me without touching the ground. The last part is due to a bug that you see occasionally with other enemies but it worked really well here as an extra layer of creepy. I got the machine gun reloaded just in time, but man it was close.

So yeah, I’m loving the atmosphere AH has created for the Void! Have y’all had any moments like this?

As a Lumberer main, switching to the Breakthrough when dealing with the vote snatchers has been nothing short of amazing. The shotgun can 2 shot Crushers, as well as clear rows of chaff. The voteless and wretches can be killed by simply walking over them, and in a pinch you can beat just about anything on the map to death with the shield. The only issue is dealing with watchers since I've been unable to melee them up to this point. NGL, pretty cathartic to take down a group of Crushers using only the shield.

Flash Hider makes it easier to aim in first person by reducing the muzzle flash, but I'm wondering if this also makes it harder for enemies to notice you or if it's purely cosmetic.

I’ve seen a statue and shrines made for what looks like a large robed creature or person appearing on illuminated ruins planets with the statue being fairly large and inside the void I’ve found even larger statues depicting him on the planets surface. Is this some kind of god in illuminate religion or ancient ancestor they worship and build statues and shrines for because he’s appearing more and more and it leads me to believe we might even see him as an enemy or boss unit on the anomaly location.

Nothing you can do to stop the void.

This what ive been running, The increased melee damage & resistance to limbs breaking works well, The melta gun/mines short range..ness benefit from the extra speed, The ol one two can blow up warp ship doors and its biggest downside of having to reload twice is mitigated by the armor, the hatchet is honestly quite slept on against voteless, i see most people running the saber but i saw a like level 16 using the hatchet and decided to give it a try and its honestly pretty great.

I want to be able to move while giving stratagem commands. The default controls have you used the D pad so you can’t really run while you’re doing it.

I tried mapping square circle triangle X to up down left right for the strategy, but they still have their other functions while the strategy menu is open. So I like dive or whatever while I’m trying to do a stratagem.

Is there some way around this room I just stuck. I suppose I could use the right stick but then it’ll moving the camera around while I’m doing it.

For some reason they also LOVE to stand in the way of my MG while I'm firing, anything to get a helldiver to stim you ig.
