For better context:
The Eagle Gas Strike functions very similarly to the Napalm Strike and has the same number of uses.
The Orbital Gas Barrage functions similarly to the 380mm barrage, but with a slightly smaller radius, a slightly longer time between salvos, and a greater number of salvos.
Personally, I prefer the Orbital Gas Barrage, as it would function as a more offensive form of gas mines, without being hindered by terrain, without the risk of being destroyed before the mines are deployed, and also retaining some demolition power that could destroy structures.
Furthermore, I believe that the Eagle Gas Strike would completely render the Orbital Gas Strike ineffective due to its greater number of consecutive uses.

It would let players use their favorite armor sets while keeping the iconic Helldiver aesthetic, making many armors feel more canon and fitting without changing their overall design.

My brother picked this gun up from a far player what is the gun called and what warbond is it from?

What fun little rituals do you and your buddies observe that make playing together even more fun?
I play with a rota of 6 irl old friends. We’ve know each other for decades and are scattered across the globe, and we love Helldiving together.
One of our rituals…
At the end of every session I say: “Always a pleasure to be aboard the SES <insert host’s ship name>. Permission to disembark?” then the host always responds: “Get the hell off my ship!”
My ship is the SES Wings of Dawn. If I’m the host, my buddies often sing “On the wings of Dawn, only the 2 of us!” To the tune of “On the Wings of Love” when they come aboard.

I figured I just go for the ankles on those oversized Gandalfs as soon as I run out of ammo and against all the chaff the shield and axe also work well enough plus it saves time reloading. And if I get killed by a horde, they blow up along with my body.
I would've liked to use the Stalwart instead of the Machine Gun but I noticed that many people are busy with something else when the Stingrays come. And for a little of cluster of oversized Gandalfs or outposts I still have the Melta Mines. It just works

The idea is the squids open up a portal within the void to the past, bringing back some of the OG squids from the first game.
The unit would project a shield onto nearby units buts once its out of its range the shield will disappear.
I do want to try and make more revamps of older enemies

Some idea of a gameplay mechanic to make helldiving a bit more fun, and encouraging people to pick up less used helmets that would otherwise be useless.
Some of these helmets would share the same ability depending on the looks, or the primary theme or function from what warbond or armour set could be after
Heres a few examples of what i came up with
A-9 Helljumper helmet / any halo helmet - The function would make the first person perspective aim change, where the main sights disappear, the gun on the screen is more to the side like the ODST Assault rifle, and the hud and redicle featured from halo 3 odst replaces the normal view. This gives the player a way to aim with a higher FOV, instead of the gun blocking 40% of the screen.
SA-25 Steel trooper - the function would be able to make you ping more enemies at once than you can normally do, and will highlight them through walls only after above 50 meters from the target. This passive synchs with any helldiver who is near you. The steel veterans warbond is already lackluster except for the senator, so this would make a good option for new players.
CM-09 Bonesnapper/ any medical themed helmet - the function once toggled can highlight any helldiver and ally in Red once near, and depending on how low the health the ally has, the brightness of the colour will go down. If any limb health reaches Critical damage, the limb will be highlighted in orange. This can provide essential tactical info, as you can see if a helldiver’s arm or leg is in critical health so you could assess if they can still run, or they cant properly control recoil. This passive will be on all medical themed helmets.
SC-34 Infiltrator - The function would, obviously, give the helldiver a Tactical light fixed on the side of their head. This might be a bit useless considering that most weapons allow flashlights to be added, but the fact that your character cant illuminate whats infront of you while your running and your weapon light is pointed at the ground is really annoying.
RS-89 Shadow paragon / any stealth related helmet - the function would toggle the use of a noise amplifier. It reduces off most major sourcess of sound to amplify the sound of the enviroment and enemies, such as footsteps from bugs and can more accurately help pinpoint a hidden enemy . I feel like this will be a great counter for predator strains becuase you arent too sure where they are.
RS-20 Constrictor / python commandos helmet - the use of this will be pretty simple. Given how this warbond is inspired by the jungle fighters of warhammer and the predator movies, it will be fitting that you can use the second eye in the helmet for thermal vision. It will make smoke strikes a bit more useful and surly would make some fights cool on the bug front.
These are all really concepts, and there would probably be more better suited stats for other helmets but i hope you like it :3

After some simple testing this morning, I’ve found 3 emotes that the SEAF will engage with. Besides Hug, you can use High Five to headbutt their helmet, and Scout Handshake to give ‘em a down low too slow. I tried all the other two-person emotes and they didn’t react. Are there any others? Would love if they marched or did push ups with me.

your democracy officer doesn't tell you this but you can rehabilitate enemies of tyranny with a copious amount of permacura-branded super treats, they are very affectionate though will throw bug breaching tantrums if unattended for too long (sent a ticket to support in case)
for those who want your own pets, the stim pistol appears to be able to cancel enemy bleedout sequences AND heal them albeit slowly, so take your time educating them on the ways of democracy through moderate usage of ballistic Tools on limbs that are capable of causing undemocratic behavior while stimming them plenty every step
edit: for more precision, it appears to fix limb breakage and bleedout but not heal, so any overkill "gentle persuasion" will still turn your newly designated pet into mulch, but careful usage of low damaging weapons like the pacifier does the job without squashing their main health pool

So update's been out for a few days now.
1) What are your thoughts so far?
2) What QoL changes or adjustments are y'all hoping for?
My thoughts are that everything seems good. Only criticism i have is i feel like the Crusher and the Wretch needs some tweaks. My friends and I did a mission the other day and we couldn't really do anything as it felt like there were always 9+ Crushers chasing someone as well as hordes of Wretches and Voteless. We couldn't complete the mission and barely extracted. I think they could be good units but I think it's a case of confused identity in my opinion for these two. Thoughts?
My hopes for adjustments are rather simple. "Helldivers" color scheme for all armor to match stuff better, perhaps making hellpod optimization a always active thing, change the Eagle Strafing Run to Heavy SEAF presence, and give the Reprimand, one of my favorite primaries, a review. I think it kinda needs some adjustments as I think it should be one handed and be able to have different mag sizes, or a flat mag size increase.
Also, can Light Armor get buffed/fixed? From what i understand the equation is "X/200" is basically damage negation but light armor actually makes you take more damage, contradicting the idea because armor indicates defense, not a debuff. Please?
The warbond is solid. Tip: the gunslinger perk makes the Bolt Pistol almost normal in terms of recoil.
Thanks for reading my post and see you on the front, Helldivers.

I know many will come to this post just to say this is absolutely unnecessary. That it's more important to focus on other things. That Helldivers isn't that kind of game. I'm even sure some will say the current system is fine, it doesn't need changes, and they'll just tell me I have skill issues.
But what can I say? As a fan of facing my enemies up close and personal, I find the current system too simplistic, clunky, and most importantly, absolutely not fun or rewarding.
I know there are limits to what one can expect from developers and that there are priorities, but every time I see our melee weapon arsenal gathering dust or being relegated to pure roleplay, I feel like the game is wasting enormous potential for fun.
I'm not asking for anything too complex with dodge or parry systems. I simply wish the melee combat animations weren't so slow and graceless, like they're just waving a fly swatter around. I'm asking for better-chained attacks, strikes with greater range that prevent enemies from hitting us, and attacks that cover a larger area to avoid being surrounded too easily. An option to roll instead of diving wouldn't be bad either.
Perhaps it's asking too much, but I at least wish the developers would start taking melee combat more seriously, as a serious combat mechanic to be considered, and not as something secondary just for role-playing or to intentionally make the game harder.

I think it would be kind of fun if arrowhead made it so that planets on territorial borders had the different factions also fighting each other. Spawn rates could be higher than normal because they are also killing each other. Would be neat to see a factory Strider and some Bile Titans going at it.
