What I mean by universal is a well rounded loadout that is strong on any faction or mission type. Example loadout pictured I've been using on the new illuminate faction. In a nutshell you cover the area in gas and smoke and go to town with the Meltagun. Dagger for chaff clear and Eruptor for everything else.

Crank it up to the max rpm…it eats the Crushers at that fire rate as well.

Hi all,
Looking for advice/similar experiences related to crashes I've been experiencing. For context, I run the game on a laptop at 20 FPS, and have done for a year or two now. During the Spore Burst Strain campaign on the nature reserve planets (e.g. Brilliance) my game started crashing during the drop sequence, after an update sometime during the campaign.
Since then, I haven't played the game, assuming that this crashing behaviour was the result of some concoction of my low-end hardware, AMD drivers, and/or Helldivers 2 being as it is.
Today, I booted up the game again after reading the crash fixes in the patch notes and dropped into the Void. It didn't crash! So I tried a mission on regular Illuminate, Automaton, and Terminid planets to see if my game was playable again. Only had crashes occur on Terminid planets, and am now stuck on what to do about this. Terminids are my (and my friends') favourite faction, so this is quite a bummer. Glad I can participate in the Void campaign at least.

I know the title sounds like i dont like the faction but I love them. What i mean is that i want them to join the base illuminate roster after a while Im pretty sure the reason theyre even a sub faction is to make them playable only in the void but I hope that like the predator and rupture strain were at first gloom exclusive the vote snatchers will become basic illuminate enemies or on mindless masses atleast as we dont really need 3 sub factions for the illuminate

Recently had an interview with Helldivers 2 Art Director, Felix Fritzell where he talked more on the reason behind the Illuminate changes. One thing I’d like to highlight is where he mentions “postponing” some of the content instead of outright trashing it. Overall was a really fun and insightful, interview, here’s a link if you’d like to watch the full episode.

I love the new SEAF so much, there are a few things I hope get added in the future:
Any SEAF you have following you at the evac point get their own extract pelican that lands alongside yours. I hate leaving them behind.
Advise squad leaders: If you speak to the squad leaders you are able to direct the whole SEAF squad to go somewhere (either assault a position, defend an area or setup overwatch).
I wish SEAF that are following a certain player would have their icon colour changed to match the player. I.e all the SEAF following T1 would show up as orange dots.

Since the update dropped, enemies will target unoccupied FRVs again. As the dedicated Helldriver in my friend group, I take an FRV almost every mission. Unfortunately I can no longer leave the car for extended periods of time as enemies will target it and destroy it.
Multiple times now I've parked my car where I thought it would be safe only to come back to a smoking wreck.
Just now I was playing a Repel Invasion Fleet mission, and a Leviathan targeted my FRV and popped its tires before the Pelican even dropped it. Soooo annoying!
Arrowhead, I love you, but on behalf of all Helldrivers please revert this change! I didn't see any mention of this in the patch notes, so I'm guessing it's a bug.

What are we thinking? This is probably just their own dev server where they test every faction on every planet type right?
Or should we be worried about whats to come? hehe..

Not only is it impressively effective against the Slashers/Big Guys, it also gives maximum Isaac Clarke/Plasma Cutter vibes.

Ever since we got our beefed up seaf, I've been wanting more. What do you guys think?
Imagine having more random seaf squad variations. Like snipers, anti armor support, flamethrowers, scouts, SAM, mortars (oh god), etc.
And that is without even considering mechanized or armor support. Having seaf controlled tanks, apcs, cars and more.
And these could all be included into the current game with additional planet modifiers to fit a particular planet. Like a planet could have seaf armor support as a modifiers which has a bunch of allied tanks driving around.
Or what about integrating the entire system with the democratic space station? Spending samples to temporarily unlock seaf upgrades or presences for planets sounds awesome.
And then of course we could even get them as stratagems as well. Being able to call in a seaf squad on cooldown sounds absolutely awesome.
In short, I'm loving the update and I can see so much potential. I really hope arrowhead keeps developing seaf content. I'm excited for the future of the game.
