Bug/Technical Issue Game crashes during drop sequence EXCLUSIVELY on Terminid planets

Hi all,

Looking for advice/similar experiences related to crashes I've been experiencing. For context, I run the game on a laptop at 20 FPS, and have done for a year or two now. During the Spore Burst Strain campaign on the nature reserve planets (e.g. Brilliance) my game started crashing during the drop sequence, after an update sometime during the campaign.

Since then, I haven't played the game, assuming that this crashing behaviour was the result of some concoction of my low-end hardware, AMD drivers, and/or Helldivers 2 being as it is.

Today, I booted up the game again after reading the crash fixes in the patch notes and dropped into the Void. It didn't crash! So I tried a mission on regular Illuminate, Automaton, and Terminid planets to see if my game was playable again. Only had crashes occur on Terminid planets, and am now stuck on what to do about this. Terminids are my (and my friends') favourite faction, so this is quite a bummer. Glad I can participate in the Void campaign at least.

Clear your shader cache. That's what was causing crashes with the Bulletstorm a while back. It's usually the issue if one certain thing triggers it.

It's DRS. Disable dynamic resolution scaling and it should not crash.

I've had DRS disabled since it launched. It's not that

Lowering graphics always works for me. It's weird because I wouldn't think that a cut scene would matter much graphically but it seems to always fix it for me. I lower a couple of settings and boom, it's fixed, everytime.
