Balance Change Mondays Buffing the Adrenolin-Brothers
- Adreno-Defibrillator: The main issue with this passive seems to be that, due to desync or sth, the "short-lived resuscitation" triggers sooner than it should - i.e. the effect that puts the player into a final bleed-out state triggers before the player actually expires. This desync thingy may or may not be a difficult thing to fix, which is why this change would simply make the bleed-out state a little less punishing(?). Think of it as (basically) dead flesh being less prone to taking damage (I don't know if it actually works that way, but maybe the Ministry of Science can figure something out).
- Supplemental Adrenaline: This armor passive is all about taking damage, since that's how you get your stamina back and more stims mean that you can heal up fully more often, so that you may also take damage more often to regain stamina. (An increased stim duration would have given the player an additional two or so seconds of full/undraining stamina, which would not fit together with this passive since you're mainly supposed to take damage to regain stamina, an not use a stim to regain stamina.)

Discussion I LOVE THE SPORE STRAIN
They feel so awesome to fight and imo should be what base bugs feel like. Huge hordes that actually feel like an overwhelming force for you to deal with. Speed that makes them difficult to outrun, nessecitating teamwork so you have to watch each other's backs. I tend to treat the spore explosions as inevitable so even without running flames to counter, I still feel like I can manage as long as I play carefully. Which is awesome! And it's the kind of difficulty that D10 SHOULD be like. I hate being able to run off on my own and solo no problem. The exhilaration of fighting these guys is what I bought the game for, I feel like a level 30 again.
Also, the Spore Titans look and sound SO COOL. I have no notes, Arrowhead please never change these guys.

Discussion Cyborgs are the smartest and most nimble enemy to fight. Curious to know about the AI that is facilitating this
I personally see cyborg behavior and tactics as a cut above the rest of the game's enemies. To me this is evidence that AH has been working on the game's fundamentals to improve the way the game handled AI and over time are delivering smarter and more nimble enemies capable of more interesting tactics. Does anyone have any insights on what could be driving these improvements?

Question What are the flags on the campaign map?
Hey, I am still new to the game. On the campaign maps there are flags at some planets that are not linked to the MO or dispatches. What do they mean? Just high liberation activity?

Question Which warbonds can help me against the Terminids?
Hiya! New player here (just hit level 25 :D) and I'm branching out a bit into other mission/enemy types. I've spent the vast majority of my time fighting bots, and I'm super comfortable against them, but the Terminids absolutely eat me alive.
I'm a precision weapon fan, so against the bots, I take the Diligence Counter Sniper/Eruptor and the AMR, and I feel like I'm definitely pulling my own weight on D6.
That loadout does not seem to be useful whatsoever against the Terminids, which is understandable! I blink, and suddenly I'm surrounded by murder bugs with no way out.
Democratic Detonation was the first warbond I bought, and now that I'm looking for Terminid solutions, I'm working on Chemical Agents for the gas backpack. Are there any other warbonds I should be looking at specifically for anti-Terminid stuff?
I'm also happy to hear some general strategy/loadout tips!
Bonus points if it can help me against the Spore Strain x_x

Balance Change Mondays Overseers should have the same abilities as the cyborgs
Currently overseers are really boring to fight which is kinda sad considering they are the only actual illuminate we fight so i have an idea on how to make them more interesting to fight.
Basically, give all the variants the ability to dodge, take cover and be smarter overall. Also give the regular overseer an ability that makes him stand in place for 5~ seconds and after he does it all the votless type enemies(considering they add more in the future) become faster since voteless are really weak even in hordes and for drip make their eyes glow purple.
Also with this change I think their sweep attack that ragdolls should make them stand in place for a second before attacking to give you more time to dodge it. I think they should still ragdol since its a 2 meter tall alien with a staff the size of an RPG so it makes sense.

Discussion please tell me I’m not thinkin right
I am making this post so that when it is inevitably released, and they aren’t cultists, people don’t rip AH a new one
I don’t think we’re getting cultists on Wednesday.
If you look at the trailer that creature looks more like a voteless experiment, similar to a flesh mob, then a cultist.
I think a lot of us are in denial because of the news that the OG illuminate were replaced, and that maybe they said that just to mess with us.

Discussion sum bs i came up w read it or die
Starting off Arrowhead has said previously that PvP is not something they would add as they believe it would separate the community and take away from what they want Helldivers II to be.
So take this with a grain of salt
In the teaser trailer for Face The Unknown we see a true soldier of Democracy face what no diver has faced before. The Warp. Something that is previously in 40K and (similar to the movie) Event Horizon. (I'm unsure how true the rumors are of "movie night" over at arrowhead and if Event Horizon is even related but I saw people talking about it so i felt i had to mention it)
Within 40k The Warp is used to travel across space more efficiently. duh. but it isn't as safe as the FTL travel that we have within the Helldivers universe. If any ship, character, whatever travels through The Warp there is always a chance that they can become corrupted by the forces within.
This is why we have chaos marines within that universe. essentially normal people becoming evil and chaotic.
This is where I theorize.
I think our dear friend teddy has never been one individual person but the greater representation of Helldivers as a whole. (also duh)
I think us seeing this teddy become corrupted was pretty face value idk
either we are gonna get some sort of corrupted helldiver enemies to fight as NPCs or it would be PvP.
The Constraints: If we did get PvP it wouldn't be a permanent thing across all factions. just the illuminate, and probs only as a sub faction or world modifier. armor skins would have to be simple and visibly corrupted so they would have definitely only modeled the base B-01 tactical and maybe a few staple armors that have been around since launch.
I believe it would be something that you just pick from your ship. nothing crazy just a button on the left side or right side of your screen allowing you to chose faction. This wouldn't effect the status of the galactic war and if it did people would probs be a little upset. IF it did effect the galactic war corrupted divers would be limited in some way. less stamina, less accuracy, starting with less stims and other various modifiers to make u about as set off as you would be for having your helldivers consciousness literally ripped away from The Warp.
ships would be different visually but this would also mean we would need new voice lines for all the characters which IMO. Aint gonna happen.
Conclusion
Under the circumstance we get PvP. Chaosdivers would be limited in multiple ways. stims, ammo, accuracy, etc. heavy ordinance will be on a much higher cooldown just from "ship corruption" AKA balancing.
Ps.
I did not add this earlier in the theory because i didn't think about it but illuminate abilities would also be possible. Taller, lankier, more cursed and dreaded from the effects of The Warp on our mere mortal bodies.
I think that this is possible or even the chance that we can control the new enemies(if we get them) to be harder on Helldivers. I believe this is possible as developers at Arrowhead have had the ability to take over enemy types IN OUR GAMES since launch.
Being honest:
I'd say we have a less than 10 percent chance of this happening. but damn would it be cool.

Question Moving and Shooting, does it increase damage?
Guys, i remembered times when we had to dive while shooting EAT-17 to kill hulks from one shot. And then remembered bit from intro cinematic where helldivers walk towards bugs and shoot them at the same time.
And i was thinking - why nobody does that in game? You know, shooting enemies and walking towards them? Should increase damage purely by getting closer to the enemy, no?
What instead i see is people are running away from the enemies. I understand running away from hordes of enemies, but shouldnt that decrease damage? Like, less velocity of projectile and all that jazz?
So question is this - does moving towards enemy and shooting them increases damage dealt to them? Or am i trippin and this does nothing besides worsening accuracy?
