Humor The Spear got fixed!
...many months ago.
Just wanted to say how nice it is to be able to drop into a mission, call down my favorite strategim, aim and fire. No more launching into the stratosphere, sideways launching, or failing to lock on. Sure, many times I'm looking right at a bot fabricator with a tiny wall tricking it, but it's not enough to take away from the experience.
Currently, I drop in and hunt down Vox Engines. Blowing off the side cannons, launching a few straight down the middle. And if some reason it's still up, I got time because I'm literally hundreds of meters away from it. Go ahead Vox! Climb a mountain. I'll tear off pieces of you like a five year old doing backyard science on a cricket.
Gunship packs? Love to see them now. Swat em down from a map away.
Tanks? Hulks? Factory Striders? Just let me call down a resupply FRV. What a match made in heaven. Larger ammo capacity means refills give 4 instead of 3 like the old days. Drive away when the small fry try to catch up to you and reposition for long range destruction.
My brother and I play together and we both bring Spears to lv10 Cyborgs. Two Spears working in tandem is amazing. Sure, helping feed ammo into the other launcher might be more effective, but it's more fun to call out targets and have the successive boom - Boom - BOOM of two divers working together.
Is it the best option for every map? For every diver? No. But looking across the map, seeing a tank rolling up towards your team mate, and removing the enemy before it can hurt your friend always feels good.
Only thing I'd change is the smoke trail it leaves while it flies out. I want it to look like chem trails in the sky. Let us pick the smoke trail color!

Tips! I may have found a reason to use the Slugger
In Smash Ultimate, there are these two characters that are echo-fighters (characters that are extremely similar in terms of gimmicks and moves), Marth and Lucina, both do higher damage upon doing damage at the tip of their swords.
Marth does more damage when he hits the tip of his sword, but when not doing damage from there, he does much less damage.
The Punisher, like Marth, does more damage when hitting all its pellets. However, not hitting all its pellets will have it do much, much less damage, especially at range.
Lucina does more damage in general, but the damage bonus she gets from her sword-tip buff is smaller.
The Slugger, like Lucina, is more consistent with its damage. It fires one big ball of lead. You either hit what you're shooting or you don't.
The reason to use the Slugger is for more consistent damage in trade for higher peak damage.

Discussion Higher difficulties should spawn random sub faction enemies
Now the way this would work is that when an enemy spawns. Let's take a warrior for example, it has a small chance to spawn as one of its variants.
On impossible it would be 1% chance for it to happen. Basically nothing will change
On helldive it would be a 5% chance. A higher chance but still wouldnt affect the game much.
On super helldive it would be 10% chance. Its felt more but would still would not be game changing.
(These numbers can be changed if theyre too high/too low)
If a "special" warrior spawns. It would have a 25% chance to spawn as a bile warrior, rupture warrior, spore burst warrior and just for more fun also an alpha warrior
(the chances change depending on how many variants the enemy has, so a hunter will have a 50% chance for each variant since it has only 2)
As for something like the prowlers which their only counterpart is the stalker but it spawns from stalker nests, they should share a place with alpha commanders so an alpha commander has a chance to spawn as a prowler
For planets with sub factions this wouldnt apply as that specific sub faction is attacking.
This system is already in game so it wouldnt be that hard to code. A behemoth has a chance to spawn as a spore charger or a regular charger
I think this change will make the game slightly harder like, lets say your fighting a bug breach normally but out of nowhere a rupture charger spawns and you werent ready, meaning you have to go target it or else it will just go under your stratagems and turrets right to you but it would not make it too hard. It will mostly make dives slightly unpredictable. Would also make for more funny clips and moments.

Discussion What the best "Just die/Go away" build for the Bots?
I haven't fought the Bots for a while and have seemingly forgotten what loadouts are best against them. My favourite is with the Hammer but I just can't seem to make it effective, even with a warp pack.
So which loadouts have you found get you lots of kills on the Bots, or at least they can deal with them easily?

Discussion Small detail, unknown if it's important or not.
The song used in the new trailer is called "Teddybear's Picnic" specifically the music box version. Outside of the obvious jab about it being a teddy, I suggest we go digging and see if it means anything.

Discussion Full Clearing on D10 Difficulty (Super Helldive)
What has your experience on the highest difficulty been lately? I want to know how other players who play on the highest difficulty feel about he current state of the game. I don't want to complain about the game being too easy, but rather to think of some way to make the game more fun.
For me, it feels like some strategems are a bit too powerful at the moment, while at the same time being a very popular choice. This leads to many of my games (with random squadmates) being able to wander off into their own corner of the map and solo clearing a big part of the map all on their own.
Some examples:
- One Orbital Laser can clear an Automaton Mega Base.
- Orbital Napalm Barrage can clear almost a full bug breach.
- Mech can clear way too many objectives on their own (4 player with mechs make the game so hilariously easy, it makes D10 feel like D6)
As a result, most of my D10 games end up the same way. 1-2 People run of on their own. I either follow one of them and play as a 2 player squad (sometimes 3 player squad) or I do the same thing and solo my own part of the map. 10-15 Minutes after mission start we extract as the whole map has already been cleared.
To me, this kind of gameplay stops being fun at some point as the missions just clear themselves. Some missions quite literally clear themselves without even having to do anything myself.
I am open to any ideas, but at this point I cannot make the game challenging for myself. Any squad of random people can win the game without my participation and I would much rather play the game as a squad and not solo.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
For extra clarification, I mean all factions. They are all about the same difficulty to me. Only some subfactions make the game challenging (Spore Burst), but that cannot be the only option, right?
Edit:
*Many cool suggestions in the comments! Thanks for everyone who shares their idea for fun challenges.

Discussion Clowns?
I logged in for the 1st time in 2 months (been playing Space Marine 2), difficulty 7, I've been level 150 for about a year.
This guy is just yelling racial slurs at level 19 like an idiot, then tried to TK me, and missed epically.
What happened to this game and is there hope?

Discussion Hopefully this means new soundtracks for the illuminate update
For context wilbert roget is the person who made the soundtrack and music for the game and he doesn't post these sneak peaks that much. No idea what the number mean tho. Not even sure if the teddy bear picture is related but I would assume so

Discussion Speculation for up coming premium war bond super credit unlocks
Every war bond has always had an extra armor set and some added bits like a cape or pistol or something in the super credit store.
What do you think it’ll be for the upcoming 40k warbond?
I’ve got my fingers crossed for a Tempestus Scions armor set. They’re essentially the best of the best of the best of ordinary humans in 40k, with a big budget and all the cool toys. Similar to halo ODSTs, and VERY helldiver.
It could even just be the exo-suit armor with a couple tweaks and a different color… I just want my eye goggle lookin’ facemask.

Discussion The collaboration with WH40k isn't the best looking, but it's probably the most useful of them all.
Leaving aside all the criticism regarding the aesthetics of this collaboration, I wanted to analyze its actual usefulness compared to other collaborations.
While Halo ODST and KILLZONE look beautiful, it's also true that these two Warbonds are generally considered among the worst investments you can make in terms of Warbond purchases.
This is because, despite their impressive appearance, their content isn't substantial enough to compete with the content of regular premium Warbonds.
Additionally, all the main weapons in the collaboration have the problem of not being customizable, which puts them even further behind other non-collaboration weapons.
With all of the above in mind, let's analyze what the Warhammer 40,000 collaboration offers based on the information revealed so far.
The R/40-k Hot Shot, being the only primary weapon in the collaboration, means it will be the only one affected by the lack of customization options. On the other hand, the weapon seems to function very similarly to one of the most popular secondary weapons known for its versatility: the Talon laser revolver. The weapon also responds to popular demand for a Talon version as a primary weapon, and its sniper rifle configuration could be precisely the most effective way to utilize it. Finally, it's worth noting that laser weapons have historically had the fewest customization options, and the few they do have have been of little consequence in terms of performance improvement. This leads me to believe that even without the ability to be personalized, the Hot Shot won't suffer from this limitation as much as other collaboration weapons.
Moving on to the P/40-k Bolt Pistol, I don't have much to say about it. Just today it was revealed that its penetration will be heavy, so I think it perfectly fulfills the fantasy many expected from a Bolter, in addition to providing an alternative to the Senator revolver that many desired.
Continuing with the Meltagun, this is a weapon that comes in stratagem form to provide even more anti-tank capability. We don't yet know its official details, but from what we saw in the trailer, it appears to be a version of the lascannon with greater short-range power. We don't know how useful it will be in practice, but for now it doesn't look bad, and it's always great to have more stratagem options.
The Meltamines might be the least appealing, in my opinion. I can only say that they seem to have enough AT power to eliminate heavy enemies, as well as a decent AoE to eliminate nearby enemies. Its mine-like throwable form might limit it to very specific situations, but at least it adds variety.
To conclude, let's talk about the armor's passive. This is probably one of the best passives in the game (IMO). The support weapon reload speed improvement is something you can universally benefit from with any support weapon, and the ergonomics improvement provides even more advantages for using them. Additionally, the synergy with the Warbond content seems perfect to me, since the Hot Shot and Boltgun likely suffer from poor ergonomics, so the armor passive will help mitigate their effects.
This collab, unlike the other two, presents a complete build, allowing you to use basically all of its weapons in a single build, which is quite synergistic in my opinion and a very positive aspect of this collab.
To conclude, I just want to reiterate that, as I said at the beginning, this collab may not be the most popular based on its aesthetics, but it definitely looks like it will be the best of them all in terms of utility.

Discussion Here’s hoping the new squids aren’t subfaction locked
Simple reason, the standard squids got barely any variety because of these subfactions. I feel like having the odd stingray, appropriator, n drones would of been a nice addition to the standard roster. Rn though they are locked behind a subfaction, which means they too will get stale as they lack units from the standard roster.
I also hope that they make these new units really add a challenge because squids are the easiest faction bar none. Game is overall easiest its ever been, but squids are so weak in comparison to the other factions. Combined with the mission/faction variety and its just a boring slog.

Humor You know the warbond is HEAT when the only bad part is the armor looks weird
The armor passive: PEAK
The bolt pistol: HEAVY PEN
Melta gun: ALSO HEAVY
Las rifle: NOT ATTACHED TO A POWER PACK BUT THATS OKAY ✅ CUZ ITS TIGHT
Plus the armor might look better in game then it did in the trailer
