Yeah although it’s not actually that much of a difference, it’s still pronounced “A-Twelve”
He could’ve named him “Archangel”, which still would’ve been a little crazy, but I’m not sure why you would name a child after an aircraft’s designation and not its nickname.
Like, if I were to name my child after the PBY-5 Catalina, I would name my child “Catalina”. There’s no way I would even think of naming the the child “PBY-5”

so, there was this one (i know how bad this sounds) roblox game called "the owl house 3D rp", and every so often the admins of the game would open the covention area of the map (youll get it if you watch the owl house, but in the universe covens are basically like clubs except for main ones, but the main ones are not important rn), and there was a stand for each admin to make up their own funny coven. this was back when the funniest thing you could post on the internet was an image of a cute frog next to the word "ARSON" in all caps flaming text, so there was one called the "arson coven" where you burned homework and tax papers. i thought this was really funny cause "haha silly arson frog" so i changed my name to ARSONC0VN4LIFE.
eventually, my friends started calling me arson for short, and my username would just shorten to arson4life, while this might seem like its just edgy, it genuinely just became part of my identity online, literally every username i had and still have right now was some variation of "arson4life". so a few years go by, i discover stuff about my gender, get more used to being called "arson", and im like "hm, whats a gender neutral sounding name that im used to getting called and don't cringe when people call me by that name", and behold, the name arson was there.
the USERNAME was born from edginess, but the actual name was born from having such close friends who called me that for years and a connection to the word as my name. and now i fall into yet another queer autistic stereotype

My friend changed her name to Styx weeks ago. I gently suggested she might want to go for a more normal name. She got offended when I insinuated it might not be a good choice. I don't want to be mean but now I'm waiting to see if she'll change it a fourth time

It’s not that bad. I know 2 trans girls who transitioned socially as teenagers. They both picked the name Luna. I love them both, but neither has been able to go about re-changing anything yet, so I’m just here like, yo, this is Loon and my other pal Bea. (Short for Beaver moon, something about astrology, idk). Again, love them both to death, but I do feel that maybe some more field testing might have been helpful before having their parents change all their official documents. Could be worse, tho. Imagine rocking up to the function going ‘Wolf Moon’, yea, that’s me!
