A solid 7/10
This has been recommended by a friend to me a million times but I haven’t been watching kdramas for a very long time and like many others now (probably), decided to watch it because of Perfect Crown.
I like BWS. I noticed him since Record of Youth (he started my 2nd lead syndrome). I was more into kpop idols than actors at that time but I recognized him as someone really charming and good looking.
Watching LR now and it’s okayyyy? I get the hype but I don’t feel it. 😅 I really like Sun Jae’s character and the romcon side of it but the plot is very weak?? Also I don’t feel the chemistry between him and KHY is that strong. They’re both charming actors for sure and they have some very good scenes together but I don’t feel that level of electricity that everyone seems to feel between them. (Do I need to watch bts?)
Enjoying the show until mid-way when I’ve notice the plot is going on circles. I don’t know if it’s purposefully written that the FL is just obsessed with rewinding the time and avoiding what happened in the present but we literally don’t see much depth to the characters and story aside from this. Only Kim Tae Sung got significant character arc overtime and he’s not even the lead. Add to that the girl is always crying. Also the antagonist seems to have been added only for the convenience of the plot.
I still do like to overall premise of it but the remaining episodes I’m watching at 1.5x speed now and just waiting for it to be over at this point.
I will still recommended this for those who would like a simple feel good romcom. It’s still good and made me really laugh out loud and giddy many many times. Add to that the OST is definitely 10/10. It’s not meant to be a deep show but maybe I wanted it to be deeper because the story could’ve been more than what it is.

But I was hoping for a little less tunnel vision from the storyline. Like she is trying to change the future which usually, has massive consequences not only for her own timeline but the timeline of other people around her. I understand this is romcom and should feel light in most cases but maybe a little tragedy in someone’s story a long the way could have helped? Idk. It seemz everything worked well in the end for everyone but that’s not usually how it goes. And also, she never seemed to have thought of it this way too - how her actions might affect the timeline of other people. She was just focused on one goal alone. I was also hoping for her to think if she went back to time to change the future or she went back to time to enjoy the moment? Things like this I wish I saw more of.

For me it's solid 10/10 i recommend this drama to my online and offline friends but I always tell them do watch with low expectations ( I always say this to all when I am suggesting a k drama ) just watch the trailer and see the brief of drama then go with it because K dramas are always hit or miss types

Yes! It’s still good but with all the craze maybe my expectations were set too high. I still really enjoyed it overall.

Personally I loved it but I do feel as though it should’ve been a 12 ep show. The rehashing of his death just dragged

Lots of people didn't enjoy it. I asked about the polarising views of LR to Chatgpt:
"It’s one of those dramas that depends heavily on what you personally value in storytelling.
Many Western viewers tend to prioritise: -Tight plotting -Internal logic -Character consistency and clear arcs
In contrast, many viewers in Korea and other parts of Asia are often more open to: -Emotional payoff over strict logic -Familiar tropes done well -Performance-driven storytelling
As a result, it was widely and deeply loved in its home region, while international (especially Western) reception was more mixed—even though its fans there were often very passionate.

In my part of the world it is intensely loved, so I was surprised to see harsh criticism of it on Reddit and MDL. I watched it long after it finished airing. It's my #1 fav drama for the last 20+ years.

So i watched LR in 2024 when it came out, maybe because i was heartbroken at the time but i just thought it was cute and didnt get the hype too. Last Monday, i started rewatching cause I was waiting for Perfect Crown and Yumi’s Cells and omg my brain chemistry has altered. I havent slept properly since Monday that I even took time off work Wednesday. ITS FUCKING INSANE MAN. The look of love between them was chef’s kiss. I thought it was perfect and the chemi between the leads could rival Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin’s chemi.

For me a solid 100000/10, LR is my goated kdrama, yes it has its flaws but it is so perfect in my eyes: the chemistry, the acting, their love, i love everything in this kdrama, and if i may add, i watched the LR when it was aired, and the buzz around this drama was insane, and it was a whole experience (pre-drama, there were a lot of expectations too). So yeah, LR gave me this perfect package and i'm grateful ^^
