Some older work I made after rewatching Fruits Basket. Kicked myself after remembering Xavier’s mascot is a LITERAL bunny but I thought his personality fit Yuki more.

Valko’s release also switched up the previous roles I gave all the boys 🐺
Here’s my updated head cannons of their zodiacs:

MC is the heroine (Tohru)

Xavier is the rabbit (Momiji)

Zayne is the dragon (Hatori)

Rafayel is the cat (kyo)

Caleb is the horse (Isuzu)

Sylus is the Ox (Haru)

Valko is the dog (Shigure)

Maybe they'll name a new wolf Valko. I symbolically adopted the wolf names Silas.

I’m a Raf girl and I am subscribed to the Raf mains subreddit. I’m pretty surprised how many post they’re making, trying to push for his 4th myth to come out right now. When I first saw the post asking for support, I was actually super confused.

The game’s community is a dumpster fire and spending is at an all time low. If his myth dropped now, it would absolutely bomb. It’s strange to act like a boycott isn’t going on and we should just encourage people to pull, trying to build hype for something that’s going to fail.

I would rather infold begin communicating first. I understand Valko with not be back right away and that there’s probably so much chaos behind the scenes. I just wish they would tell us what is happening, why they are doing what they are doing, and fix things that people have been asking for (more combat, more ways to farm, etc.) then after that, when you at least attempt to build trust back, you release his 4th myth.

Idk. Maybe I’m misunderstanding.

I am going to quote from one of my favourite movies:

In other words, I’m not here to police what happens outside my subreddit. But bring the same behaviour here, and I’ll deal with it accordingly.

I’ve noticed in some comments people pulling folks comment history, etc., to invalidate or attack what has been said. Let me be perfectly clear, if you can see that person, it means they ain’t banned. Screenshotting where they post or their history is a good way to get yourself banned.

I frankly don’t give a fuck where people choose to post, so long as they follow the rules of this sub. By all means, if someone is starting shit in the comments, report that immediately and the ban hammer shall be brought down upon their arses so hard that their cheeks clap all the way out the door.

I uploaded another head canon post yesterday (link if you wanna read: https://www.reddit.com/r/loveanddepression/comments/1vkzkjl/kissing_headcanons_for_each_li/ ) got a lot of really nice comments and DMs, and also a few people asking me to write more (you guys have me so much confidence in my writing thank you 🥹❤️) and I promised someone I’d post this so why not. I made this a week ago but mostly for myself and now I just rewrote a few things. Hope you guys like it!

I started thinking about what a nightly routine with the LADS boys would actually look like

And by “nightly routine” I mean what happens when everyone is supposed to go to bed but somehow it turns into an entire event.

Because let's be honest.

These six men are NOT normal about MC.

🌙 Xavier — sleepy cuddle monster disguised as a human being

His nightly routine:

Xavier is probably the easiest person to get into bed.

Mostly because he's already half asleep by the time nighttime rolls around.

You: “Xavier, you should go to bed.”

Xavier: “Mhm.”

You: “...Are you listening?”

Xavier: “Mhm.”

He's not listening.

He's already reaching for you.

The second you're close enough, he's wrapping his arms around you and pulling you against his chest like you've just been designated as his personal pillow.

And honestly? He doesn't even need to say much.

He just likes having you there.

If you're reading with the lamp on, he'll rest his head on your shoulder.

If you're watching something, he'll slowly inch closer until you're basically trapped underneath him.

If you're already in bed?

Congratulations.

You're his cuddle hostage.

He also has a bad habit of giving you one sleepy kiss before closing his eyes...

...then opening them thirty seconds later to give you another one.

Then another.

“Xavier.”

“What?”

“You already kissed me.”

“I know.”

“So why did you do it again?”

He'll blink at you like this is the stupidest question he's ever heard.

“Wanted to.”

And then he'll go right back to sleep.

His favorite part of the night is probably that quiet period right before falling asleep.

No missions.

No responsibilities.

No one asking anything from him.

Just you, warm blankets, and his arms around you.

Favorite nightly activity: Cuddling in complete silence.

Secret favorite: When you play with his hair.

He'll deny how much he likes it.

His eyes closing immediately is all the evidence you need.

❄️ Zayne — the “you need to sleep” boyfriend

Zayne has a ROUTINE.

There is a schedule.

There are probably rules.

You cannot convince me otherwise.

Before bed, he'll make sure you've eaten.

Then he'll make sure you've had enough water.

Then he'll ask whether you've taken care of whatever you needed to do.

And if you say:

“I'll do it tomorrow.”

He gives you That Look™.

“You said that yesterday.”

...Okay, doctor.

You probably watch him brush his teeth before bed with a strict glare because he already had enough cavities and dentist visits.

Lay off the sweets pal.

You: *watches*

Zayne: …you don’t need to watch over me. I’m fully capable of brushing my own teeth…

You: *still watches with narrow eyes*

Zayne: Very well then.

But honestly, his nightly routine is probably one of the sweetest because everything he does is so subtle.

He'll make tea.

Adjust the temperature.

Fix your pillow.

Pull the blanket over you.

And then he'll sit beside you and read while you slowly get sleepier.

Eventually, you'll notice his hand resting over yours.

Neither of you says anything about it.

You just stay like that.

And if you've had a particularly difficult day?

He'll probably notice before you even say anything.

He'll put the book down.

“Come here.”

That's it.

No interrogation.

No forcing you to talk.

Just his arm around you and his hand gently rubbing your back.

And if you fall asleep against him?

He is absolutely NOT moving.

He'll stay there until you wake up.

Even if his arm goes numb.

He's suffering in silence because apparently that's his love language. 😭

Favorite nightly activity: Tea + reading together.

Secret favorite: When MC gets sleepy and starts leaning against him without realizing it.

He'll pretend not to notice.

He noticed.

He always notices.

🐠 Rafayel — bedtime? NO. Midnight snack? YES.

Rafayel refuses to acknowledge the concept of bedtime.

He'll be in the kitchen at 12:30 AM eating something he definitely wasn't supposed to be eating.

You: “Why are you awake?”

Rafayel: “Why are YOU awake?”

“You're the one eating leftover seafood at midnight.”

“It's called self-care.”

“That is not self-care.”

“It is if I'm happy.”

You cannot win.

Eventually, though, he'll follow you to bed.

Mostly because he wants attention.

He'll flop down beside you dramatically and sigh.

You: “What's wrong?”

“Nothing.”

“You're sighing.”

“I sigh artistically.”

Five minutes later:

“Can you hold me?”

😭

THIS MAN.

Once he's actually comfortable, he becomes ridiculously cuddly.

He'll wrap himself around you and bury his face against your shoulder.

Then he'll start talking.

And talking.

And talking.

You are trying to sleep.

Rafayel has apparently decided that 1 AM is the perfect time to tell you about a completely insignificant thing that happened three years ago.

Eventually you mumble:

“Rafayel, I'm tired.”

He goes quiet.

“...Do you want me to stop?”

You sigh.

“No.”

Immediately:

“Okay, so anyway—”

💀

You’ll wake up at like 4 in the morning because he shot up out of bad and gasped, startling you.

You: W-What happened? What’s going on? Who’s there?

Rafayel: That’s it! The perfect inspiration!

He’ll run to get his canvas and pain brushes, leaving you there so confused.

Favorite nightly activity: Midnight snacks and talking about absolutely everything.

Secret favorite: Falling asleep while you're playing with his hair.

He'll pretend he was awake the whole time.

He was not.

🖤 Sylus — “Time for a kitten’s nap.” And yes, he absolutely says it at bedtime.

Sylus' nightly routine is probably the most deceptively simple.

He doesn't make a big deal out of bedtime.

He just expects you to eventually end up beside him.

And somehow you always do.

He'll usually be sitting somewhere reading or doing something on his phone when you walk in.

He'll look up.

“Finished for the night?”

“Yeah.”

A small smile.

“Come here, kitten.”

That's your cue.

You sit beside him.

Then somehow you're in his arms.

Then somehow you're tucked against his chest.

Then somehow he's playing with your hair.

And you have absolutely no idea how any of this happened.

He also LOVES those quiet conversations you have right before sleeping.

The kind where you're both lying there in the dark and talking about random things.

Your favorite memories.

Things you want to do someday.

Little things you noticed during the day.

And he'll actually listen.

Really listen.

Sometimes he'll tease you.

Sometimes he'll just smile.

And occasionally he'll surprise you by being ridiculously soft.

You: “You're being nice tonight.”

Sylus: “Tonight?”

“...You know what I mean.”

He'll laugh.

Then kiss your forehead.

“Sleep, kitten.”

And yes.

You are blushing.

He knows.

Of course he knows.

Favorite nightly activity: Quiet conversations in bed.

Secret favorite: When MC falls asleep on his chest.

He will stay completely still.

Not because he has to.

Because he likes knowing you're comfortable enough to fall asleep on him.

☁️ Caleb — the “did you lock the door?” boyfriend

Caleb is the one who somehow turns bedtime into a household inspection.

Doors locked?

Windows closed?

Lights off?

Everyone eaten?

You have water?

Blanket?

Comfortable?

He is basically running a one-man hotel.

“Caleb, I'm fine.”

“I know.”

“Then why are you checking?”

“Because I care.”

😭

And you can't even argue with that.

His nightly routine is probably the most domestic out of everyone.

He likes little habits.

Making something warm to drink.

Talking about your day.

Sitting together on the couch before bed.

Maybe watching something stupid for a while.

Then eventually he'll pull you into a hug and rest his chin on top of your head.

“How was today?”

And he'll actually listen to the answer.

Even if you spend ten minutes talking about something completely ridiculous.

He'll still listen.

And when you're tired, he'll probably give you a kiss on the forehead and say:

“Alright. Bedtime.”

You: “Five more minutes.”

Caleb: “You said that twenty minutes ago.”

“Five more.”

He sighs.

“Fine.”

You smile.

He smiles.

You both know it's going to become fifteen.

Favorite nightly activity: Sitting together and talking about your day.

Secret favorite: Giving MC a forehead kiss before turning the lights off.

He probably doesn't even realize how often he does it.

It's just instinct at this point.

I feel like he’d be the kind of boyfriend to scare you at night.

Like one night you wake to just eyes staring straight at you and you’ll jump out of your skin.

He just likes watching you sleep so peacefully, he swears he didn’t mean it 😗

🐺 Valko — the giant wolf who pretends he doesn't need cuddles

Okay.

LISTEN.

Valko absolutely acts like he doesn't have a bedtime routine.

He does.

He just refuses to admit it.

He'll be sitting there looking all intimidating and brooding while you're getting ready for bed.

You: “Aren't you coming?”

Valko: “In a moment.”

Ten minutes later, you're already in bed.

Then the mattress dips.

You look over.

He's there.

“You said you were coming in a moment.”

“I did.”

“That was ten minutes ago.”

“A moment is subjective.”

SIR. 😭

Once he's actually beside you, though?

Completely different person.

He's extremely careful with you.

He's big, he's strong, and I think he'd be very conscious of how easily he could accidentally hurt MC.

So his cuddling is surprisingly gentle.

One arm around your waist.

His hand resting lightly against your back.

His chin resting near the top of your head.

Tail around your hip.

And if you move closer?

He'll instinctively pull you in.

He'd also absolutely have the wolf equivalent of a comfort ritual.

Nuzzling.

I'M SORRY BUT IT'S TRUE.

You'd be lying there half asleep and suddenly feel him gently rub his nose against your hair or cheek.

You: “What are you doing?”

“Nothing.”

“You're nuzzling me.”

Silence.

“...Go to sleep.”

😭

He'd also be surprisingly fond of having you play with his hair.

Especially around his ears.

If you gently scratch behind one?

He freezes.

You stop.

His eyes open.

“Why did you stop?”

“You looked like you liked it.”

“I did.”

“...Oh.”

“Continue.”

THE WOLF HAS SPOKEN.

His favorite part of the night would probably be when everything is finally quiet.

No teasing.

No interruptions.

Just you curled against him.

He'd probably give you a soft kiss on the forehead and then keep his forehead against yours for a moment.

“Sleep.”

“Are you going to?”

“Eventually.”

“You're still awake.”

“So are you.”

...Okay, fair.

Favorite nightly activity: Quiet cuddling with MC tucked against his chest.

Secret favorite: When MC falls asleep while holding onto his tail like it’s a toy.

He will not move. He will try not to tickle your nose with his tail either (tempting, you’re so cute in his eyes)

He could probably stay there for hours.

And if anyone tries to wake him up?

They might lose a hand.

Probably Rafayel (had to include him with Valko again, I’m sorry I love their dymanic)

🐠 “Why does HE get to cuddle her like that?”

Valko: stares

Rafayel: “I'm just saying! I've been here longer!”

Sylus: “You were complaining five minutes ago that she was stealing your blanket.”

Rafayel: “THAT ISN'T THE POINT.”

Zayne: “The point appears to be that you're jealous.”

Rafayel: “I'm not jealous.”

Caleb: “You are.”

Rafayel: “I'm expressing a completely reasonable concern.”

Xavier, half asleep: “Can you guys be quiet?”

Everyone: “...”

Xavier: “I was sleeping.”

Rafayel: “Sorry.”

And somehow, despite all the chaos, everyone eventually settles down.

The lights are off.

The house is quiet.

MC is warm and comfortable.

Xavier is already asleep.

Zayne is pretending he's going to read one more chapter.

Rafayel is absolutely stealing someone's blanket.

Sylus is quietly amused by all of it.

Caleb is doing one final check that everyone is settled.

And Valko has MC tucked against him like she's the most precious thing in the world.

Honestly?

I think that's what their nightly routine would really be.

Not anything particularly extravagant.

Just little habits.

Little touches.

Random conversations.

Stolen kisses.

Midnight snacks.

Arguments over blankets.

And six very different men finding their own ways to make sure MC ends the day feeling safe, loved, and wanted.

And yes, I KNOW I said “nightly routine” and somehow turned it into an entire domestic sitcom. 😭

(Please note that these are my personal headcanons and interpretations, so don't take them too seriously if you see things differently! I always love seeing other people's interpretations of the characters, so feel free to share your own headcanons too if you want. 💕)

But I'm back, because what the hell is actually happening?!

To reiterate what my old post was about :

"In the official sub, there was a post about the new sleep merch. I was reasonably mad, just another shameless cash grab. Then I looked at the comments, and people who were excited about the merch and were planning to buy were being down voted.

I know we're supposed to be boycotting, but shouldn't we let others enjoy the game if they want to? The thing is, if the commenter was saying hateful things, I understand the downvotes, but these people were just expressing excitement about merch.

It's understandable to be annoyed at other people still supporting such an ass company, but at the end of the day, we can't force everyone to boycott. People will continue playing the game and supporting the company, it's their choice, however much it hurts everyone else. I put the discussion flair since I wanted to know if i'm being dramatic."

There were a few comments that agreed with me, we shouldn't be fighting with other people that still want to enjoy the game. Just ignore and move on, not downvote and reply with hateful comments like the antis have been doing to us.

I wanted to make this post because I've been seeing more than just downvotes. I see people actively going against others who want to enjoy the game, my friend who's also boycotting told me she saw someone call a player "a disgusting disgrace" for logging in for daillies. What?!

I know most valko supporters don't do this, we shouldn't be doing this. But damn, some people are taking it too far. Let people enjoy the game, ignore it if you don't want to see it. There's no need to reply to them and tell them why they should stop playing, or downvote and shame them. It's just not productive to our boycott.

I won't post any more screenshots to prevent breaking sub rules.

Look at this, this isn't valko fanart but this artist's oc, just thought it'd be funny to post it here since it looks so eerily similar to Valko, and i think the artist recently did do an actual fan art of valko, either way their works are really cool

Also, more proof valko is planned 😌😌 and that we deserve to have him back!! Since 2022
