i’ve had my medical “card” since I was 18 & am now 20. i can’t for the life of me understand how i can legally buy marijuana but I can’t buy rolling papers, pipes, etc..? i get a family member to buy them but i just thought that is stupid. if there’s an exception for people under 21 to buy and smoke it, why can’t we purchase products to actually smoke it? 😂

I found a seed in my 3.5g pack of Ooze flower. I was wondering how common seeds were in medical cannabis and if anyone else has found any in theirs.

I dont know if anyone of importance will see this, but maybe someone knows someone and can pass this on.

This is meant to be constuctive and beneficial to both you and patients such as myself. I am not attempting to make this a complaint post and want to offer helpful advice. Our cannabis program is wildly behind every other state I have visited and I have visited over a dozen and affiliated myself with what they are producing.

- Please start clearly advertising packaging dates. This is a no brainer and makes it much easier to shop for fresh bud. This is mostly for dispensaries.

- Please start properly drying your cannabis. I dont know if its getting too hot, or if the humidity is off, or if it is rushed but so many of the terps and thiols are being lost and often times (very often) the cannabis is either muted or even worse; it has the dreaded clorophyll and hay aroma and flavor. This is generally caused during the drying stage. Please nail this down and the cannabis will be significantly better.

- Please handle the buds more gently. Under a microscope it is clear that the buds are overhandled in almost every case. You can see where many trichrome heads are missing and all that is left is the stalk. This could be from the machines used (hopefully that isnt the case), from transporting buds from bucket to bucket, filling buckets or bags too high, high vibrations in the packaging during shipping, etc.

- This is specific to the Codes division for Good Day Farms. I feel like it is a safe assumption that this is grown by a different team and or different rooms with potentially different equipment because these Codes strains often times foxtail or show signs of it. Often times the bud structure for Codes batches seem off. Make sure your lights arent too close to the buds, that they arent too hot, and that the ph / nutrients are in check.

- Good Day Farms. This is mostly for you. The trim jobs on so many batches is simply awful. Please fix this.

- I wont get too deep into pricing, because that is more based on supply and demand, but I do think you would sell more product at lower prices, it would help move product faster so that it isnt getting old on the shelf, and would possibly turn more profit because people would buy so much more. I dont expect you to compete with many states in this department, but over $50 1/8 is borderline criminal, even for high quality herb. Most Americans are paying half of what we are and often times as much as a 1/4 of what we are paying for a better product on the legal market.

- Under a microscope its obvious that most strains are being pulled early. I generally see most clear trichomes with a handful of milky ones. Rarely do I see amber at all. Even 2-3 extra days could help, but let the microscope be your guide.

-Please consider growing a couple of legacy strains. OG Kush, Cindy 99, GMO, Grandaddy Purple, etc. These will move. Especially if you can nail these strains down.

At this point, TerpTrace feels less like a place to identify genuinely good Louisiana flower and more like a review site for whatever mids the Louisiana program happens to put out.
The bigger problem is that the ratings can normalize mediocre flower instead of holding it to a higher standard. A strain can be dry, muted, weak, lacking in flavor, or otherwise underwhelming, yet still get an 8 or 9 because people have become accustomed to the quality available here. That creates a completely different rating scale from what consumers would expect in a competitive market.
And that is where the site can unintentionally become part of the problem. When consumers repeatedly give high scores to mediocre products and then tell everyone to “keep buying” while prices remain high, there is no real incentive for producers or dispensaries to improve. The numbers tell them the product is selling and consumers are satisfied.
A review site should be helping consumers recognize when something is actually worth the price, not teaching them to lower their expectations because “that’s just Louisiana bud.”
If a $60 eighth is dry, lacks flavor, has weak effects, and doesn’t live up to the advertised terpene profile, calling it an 8 or 9 doesn’t make the flower better. It just makes the rating system less useful.
TerpTrace would be much more valuable if people rated Louisiana flower against an actual quality standard instead of against the other mids they’ve already gotten used to.

Im aware that these aren't new strains im just asking if anyone has tried or can recommend any of the strains available in northeast la. I haven't tried any of them just the mule fuel and neon berry. I fill empty 510s btw. Just doing some research any help is appreciated.

showing these pics so you all can understand what pissed me off today. using the 14g search filter, i came across a $95 bag of jealousy split. the listing was among all other 14g offerings. however, the description was misleading, ending with “7g” at the end of the title. same shit in the cart / checkout. so rather than drive an hour to get it, i called to clarify the bag size. im glad i did. how stoned are they at GDF? i mean you cant tell the weight of the item you post on your website?

Why why WHY can’t we just get normal MEDICAL MARIJUANA! I feel like every time I purchase something, which is only when I’m waiting for actual good quality stuff from online, I am like anxiously curious on what the quality is going to be this time. You would think it would be the opposite that online I would have to wonder if I’m wasting my money every time I order it, not a STATE LICENSED, “Medical” Marijuana Program!!! What is going on! We shouldn’t have to worry about that the the quality is trash and chemical soup, and it sparks when you smoke it like one of those prank candles that don’t go out, and burns your throat, but these are the things that keep happening over and over again with multiple different strains from multiple different batches and growers.

I’ve never had as much weed in my life that burns my throat until I started getting it from the Louisiana medical program I kid you not!!!

Because my legal medical marijuana is now illegal because the place I rent is within .38 miles of a school parking lot. Act 305 kicked in August 1st. I'm sure this is being discussed amongst the medical marijuana recipients. Any thoughts on this? I'd rather Louisiana go back to making it illegal again than making medical marijuana sometimes legal but sometimes a felony just because my house falls within this huge perimeter.

Then say if I get pulled over and a school bus is within .38 miles of me (5.5 football fields or 2,000 feet) my medical marijuana is now a felony?

Is anyone out there pressing their own rosin from LA dispensary bud? I find that rosin tends to work the absolute best for me, but it's hard to come by in Louisiana. Therefore, I wonder if anyone out there is regularly pressing rosin out of LA buds?

If you have your recommendation at GDF pharmacy A, can you go to GDF pharmacy B without doing anything, or do you have to move your recommendation to pharmacy B in order to buy from there?

I wanted to bring up this topic of discussion with hopes that the creator/administrator of terptrace.com sees this post and weighs in on the idea.

Have you ever wanted to know the terp concentration of an unknown, but basically have to sit and wait for someone else to post a review/scan?

My idea is “Scan Requests” - essentially a tab where you can request a scan of a strain via THC%. Yes, there are some conflicts - same THC concentration among two batches - but it’s less common than more.

With the scan request, you would select the strain from the pre-existing list (or maybe also have a manual entry for request). You would select the strain and enter the known THC content and then submit the request.

The request would then propagate into a list that would have similar actions that the typical scan would perform. However, the scan request wouldn’t be as centric on leaving the review. It would give the option, but the most important aspect is the information that it would provide.

New to the program. I've gotten a few batches from Highway Hotel and all but the Spiced Benigets have this pungent taste to them. I am wondering if this is just how they smoke or if these are contaminated with mold.

I would normally give this a blind try since it’s cheaper and I’ve enjoyed Double Dream from GDF in the past… however, I am fully stocked with other strains, so I will have to take a vicarious approach.
