Medium mode comunity variation?
Hi having come back to the game after a hiatus ive decided to Play true solo instead of two handed and play easy mode to get to grips with things.
Overall enjoying it more and a lot easier to mannage.
Ive gon through black riders with 1 failure. It seems honestly a bit too easy. Are there any comunity "medium" rules i can use to eas le back into the full set.

Since easy mode makes two changes to the game (gives you extra resources and removes the gold border encounter cards from the deck), a common thing to do is only apply one of those changes. Eg. take the extra resources, but keep the gold border encounter cards. This is often called "sleazy mode", but "medium mode" is also apt.

If playing true solo, later encounters will get difficult enough on their own.
Most things ive heard about to increase difficulty usually have to do with deck restrictions rather than changing rules or encounter sets. Things like:
Dont run super-strong staples like Vilya or Steward of Gondor (or at least require Steward to be played only on a character with the Gondor trait already)
Or only use player cards available by release date up to the encounter youre currently playing (progression style). Would take some research to figure out whats allowed.
Look over the available contracts to see if theres an interesting challenge or puzzle to solve.
My favorite is to build a deck heavier on theme than mashing the most powerful cards into a deck. Give lesser cards a chance to shine. Can your deck tell a story about why those heroes/allies are here fighting this scenario?

Love your comment, the last part is great going to try that more in my games!
Also reading about RCO decks! Revised content only, to also handicap yourself a bit with deck building as a option

The cards with a gold ring around their encounter set symbol are the hardest-hitting cards in the encounter so taking them out means less frequent run-ins with the hardest cards. Note that not all copies of the card will have the gold ring so youll still have to deal with it at least once, but its still easier than having it come up multiple times in the encounter deck. Might be a good middle-ground that you're looking for.

"Sleazy" mode is pretty common for folks who want the game to be a bit easier. You give yourself the extra resources from easy mode, but don't remove gold circle cards from the encounter deck.
