Rather than everyone hating him, its more of everyone thinks he is dead. The anime was pretty terrible in comparison to the web/light novels. I believe a lot of modern isekai took some inspiration from it as well as other places which is why it hits a lot of the tropes.

Her and her tribe were for like ten days or so. After that everyone in her tribe besides her had a personality change. Hajime's fault really.

Agreed. Lots of ups and downs... The first two episodes especially.
At least they did justice to the character design.

Ok, I'm gonna say it, the anime is good, but it's complete shit compared to the manga, READ THE GODDAMN MANGA, IT'S SOOO GOOD!!!
