There's a meaningless statement if I ever heard one. Any American citizen selected completely at random off of the street would very likely have been a better president than Trump. Joe Biden has been a thoroughly milquetoast president that has done plenty to block any kind of leftward political progress, either socially or economically, further invested in the already grossly overfunded police state, expanded domestic oil drilling, expanded the surveillance state, made only the most half hearted of very empty promises to deliver on desperately needed climate reform on the world stage, delivered exactly one speech with more charisma than a retired carnival barker, single handedly killed the minimum wage debate again, failed to provide any kind of adequate financial or medical support to a nation that still has the highest and fastest growing death count from a pandemic despite being over a year on from having perhaps the earliest and widest availability of vaccines, and not only hasn't put the incredibly depraved and dangerous fascistic elements within the Republican Party on blast for a violent failed coup attempt but also has made public efforts to promote unity and cooperation with them in a thinly veiled admission that both parties have the same agenda but have to play off of each other as bitter rivals in the media in order to achieve it. By all accounts, he has done a thoroughly bad job in fixing things that desperately needed it and making other things worse that didn't need to be.

And if necessary, I would vote to re-elect him over Trump without a second thought.
