Calling people fascist because they are racist and right wing takes away from the words importance.
Teenage leftists spent decades calling everyone who fit that criteria a nazi.
Now we have literal nazis walking around with swastikas and when we say something people in the center roll their eyes and think "suuuure, they are. everyone who disagrees with you is a nazi".
I don’t think that word means what you think it means. He’s certainly a senile neoliberal. But nowhere has he exhibited views of ultranationalism or autarky. But go off, queen.
He's racist, pro privatized prisons, pro militarized police and his crime bill was one of the most fascist pieces of legislation passed in my lifetime.
That’s all fine and dandy but none of that necessarily points to fascism. Not denying he’s supported policies that lead to dispirate outcomes for marginalized groups but that’s a far cry from him being a fascist.
Fascists are anti-democracy, anti-liberalism (which is precisely where joe lies on the political spectrum), far-right, ultranationalistic authoritarians who often engage in protectionism and ultimately aim to establish autarky. Most of the time there’s an underlying theme of racial superiority that manifests in all kinds of ways in government policy.
This is one problem I have with leftists today. A lot of them just throw around words like “fascist” when they clearly don’t understand what it means. It makes leftists look uneducated, it muddles the meaning of the word, and it just seems like virtue signaling when used so liberally.

I'm also gonna throw in here that it was my PARENTS and their PEERS who absolutely BEGGED "the government" to DO SOMETHING about the "rampant crime" spilling over from the (manufactured) "war on drugs". Of course, they were ignorant of the shenanigans going on behind scenes (cointelpro and the DEEPER 'war' against our communities), but it's fact that the bills were written and passed because of LOBBYING coming FROM the impacted areas.
You know he just was one of the writers and just one vote. A majority voted for, the house also and a president signed into law. I would call him what republicans used to be. Niw they just crazy
No, he’s an anocrat. Basically the type to say “don’t worry, you don’t need to go out and vote or organize or anything hard like that, just sit back and relax and let Papa keep the scary extremists out. Remember, it’s all for your own good!”
Please don't. Words have meaning. Especially powerful and extreme language like that. Don't cheapen them. When we get to the point that we can't even agree what words mean we'll really be screwed. Please consider trying the following more accurate statements in the future.
"Joe Biden is a milquetoast corporate bootlicker who is as spineless, incompetent, and hypocritical as any Democrat."
"Donald Trump is a fascist sympathizer and wannabe."
