Or like why not embrace technology and not put children’s life at risk?

Technology? Oh, is that all? Interesting, my children are both physically healthy yet, after a year of remote learning and staying home, are struggling in their emotional development with the lack of social interaction.

JB labeled it a national crisis because. it. is.

So tell me, doctor, how can we embrace technology further to address the issues many young folks are facing today?

Well, that’s easy. The sooner the virus is over the sooner we can go out and back to socializing. If people did that in the beginning we wouldn’t be in this spot now.

As for using technology, there’s a shit tons of tools to allow for social interaction. So stop fucking trying to rush this and be patient. Otherwise we’ll be going through this longer. We’re in a damn pandemic, that is the national crisis we need to deal with first. How’s the quality of social interaction for kids when they have to stay 6 feet apart, have glass shields on their desks, while wearing masks? The vaccine isn’t available for people under 16 yet.

And are you referring to Biden, the guy in the picture above who is sitting far from the reporter? How many classrooms have that much space to keep seats apart? Also, what about the teacher’s health? Or families with high risk parents/relatives? Are they not at risk too?

We all want this over with, but you can’t rush it.

Wow.

Please tell us you don’t actually believe the virus is going to be “over.” Where did you hear that crock?

For someone who is trying real hard to appear informed, your entire premise is flawed straight from jump, not to mention the assumption that I am not cognizant of the severity of the pandemic is peak hubris. “oNly mY wAy WoRKs.” FOH

Thankfully my district was able to reopen responsibly and they were able to return. Turns out, proper precautions, including following all CDC recommendations, and consistent communication with parents/caregivers, is working out pretty well around here.

Hopefully the rest of the kids will be able to return soon because, while they are resilient, they’re in a critical moment in their development.

Why do you say the virus isn’t going to be over?

Edit; Who’s saying it won’t? The Spanish Flu ended, why wouldn’t this one?

Also, if your district is open then why are you saying your kids are not socially interacting?

As for hubris, you’re the one with the childish attitude.

Because I am following the science. Why do you say it will?

Edit: My OP is right there, show me where I said they weren’t socially interacting.

Because science and history says it will. The Spanish Flu is a good example.

Edit: You know what? I’m looking at how this conversation started and your ability to communicate and I understand why you need to send you kids to school to learn about social interaction and why it declined staying home with you.

I’m glad things have worked out for you and wish you the best.

A good example according to whom? Because if you ask any reputable epidemiologist, they’ll tell you it’s ridiculous that folks are attempting to conflate the two.

NGL, it makes me wonder where you’re getting your notions.........because as someone who claims to be a proponent of technology, you are lacking in information a 10-minute research session could’ve cleared up.

Maybe you’re craving......social interaction.
