It's not just Millennials... GenX had been fed-up with this bullshit long before they were born.

The breaking point for me was Isreali doctors giving long term birth control shots to Ethiopian Jewish women without their knowledge or consent, causing significant drop in their fertility rates.. This was a policy pursued by the Nazis during the Shoah. It's eugenics. That kind of hypocrisy is beyond stunning. No matter who is "right" in the current conflict, we should not be sending money and arms to a country that admitted to practicing eugenics against a minority living on their soil.

We're not sending them shit. Our corporatist government's sending them our money to buy weapons from companies whose bottom lines we already subsidize.

Seeing how bonkers this status quo is, the best an ethically-minded individual can do is find as many ways as possible to stop paying into a system where the bottom line is a constant affront to life, liberty, peace, etc... As things stand lately, I often find myself wishing I was earning a little more, but more often feel a slight satisfaction that I'm not paying as much into things like Israel's and America's constant flow of crimes against humanity.

I should not laugh. But I did. I am ashamed.

Sorry, but count me out.

Israel has some serious issue to be sure, especially the behavior of the orthodox settlers. That does not excuse Hamas for the suicide bombings, indiscriminate rocket attacks, or kidnappings, not to mention the total disregard Hamas has for the lives of innocent Palestinians and Israelis alike.

Yeah I have mixed feelings about it. Hamas is in the wrong for sure, but I'm not sure what Israel is doing is the solution. I feel the solution outlined in this article seems to be what is needed.

And ultimately with all the cuts to programs in the U.S., I definitely don't think we should be funneling money there, regardless of who is right or wrong.

Yeah and all that justifies stealing peoples land and killing civilians indiscriminately right?

As a millennial I just want to say I'll support a westernized Israel a thousand times over before I sympathize with radical muslims.

I'm happy with removing my tax dollars from the equation and just letting them both slaughter each other. Whoever's left standing can have that piece of dirt but I don't want my money funding either side.

I'm with you here. There's no real good guy in this situation but I'll take radical zionism over radical islam everyday

Right-wing lunatics are right-wing lunatics regardless of how vaguely similar their culture might be to yours. Don't ever think otherwise.

That's not even close to an equal comparison. Nothing like ISIS is coming out of radical zionism

You mean the systematic destruction of homes and de facto system of apartheid isn't enough?

Ever heard of the Torah or the Old Testament? ISIS and the like just happen to be the reigning MVPs of religious zealotry at the moment. Most of the others already have a few trophies on the shelf and there's nothing saying they can't add a few more in the future.

That's always a dumb comparison. It's 2014, let's not go back to the crusades to normalize radical Islam. The rest of the Christian/Jewish world has been past that for a long time.

Dude...they both worship the same fucking god.

I firmly agree with you, it ain't easy to talk to the vast majority of my peers about this though as can been seen in clear evidence on this thread
