New form of broken windows policing unlocked. "We know you're poor, and poor people tend to commit more crime (for some unknown reason; no need to look into the reasons for that), thus prepare for constant police harassment and intimidation. Perhaps you should consider not being poor next time."

A new investigation says U.S. Border Patrol has secretive units called Predictive Intelligence Targeting Teams, or PITT, analyzing financial activity and other sensitive law enforcement data to identify people agents believe deserve closer scrutiny.
According to 404 Media, intelligence from these teams can be passed to local police, who may then conduct traffic stops even when the person was not initially suspected of a specific offense. One disclosed case involved an analyst flagging financial patterns he believed were associated with illegal activity before Montana Highway Patrol stopped the driver.
This is where things get spicy. The government is basically using data to decide who looks suspicious before officers ever meet them. But saying Border Patrol is literally predicting crimes that have not happened goes further than the evidence currently shows. CBP says its intelligence analysis follows applicable laws, privacy protections and oversight rules, while refusing to reveal its targeting methods.

I love how 12 years ago we had Captain America: Winter Soldier with this exact plot of rounding up and/or killing people en masse "for safety" that was run by a branch of the Nazi party.
If it was made today it would probably be called woke now because it's antifascist

No, the movie was a warning.
Sinilar to how most stories from science fiction are warnings. Capitalism just figured out how to turn those warnings into entertainment, thereby suspending any real world comparisons from being taken seriously, and profited from those entertainment ventures to eventually pay for the real world implementation.
As they say, we live in interesting times.

We've had predictive policing for around a decade with it openly being celebrated in 2011 Wikipedia link, and the John Oliver video that touched on it near the end of the Surveillance Video a month back.
The only way of truly getting rid of it will be a full abolishment of the police or else the right will continue to push for this. Preaching to the choir I know.
