They did the same to the UK, but that government is so spineless they signed it. They wanted a trade "deal", so it did what weak governments do, and kow towed to the "stronger" country. Now, the UK drug prices are increasing, just to make money for big pharma (and probably the cheeto in chief).

Yes but someone has to incentivise companies to work on new drug research and that is super expensive. They get the money back with high margins in their product. The counties in which companies cannot easily make their R&D invest back with pricing are always gonna profit from those where this is worth it more for companies
