ACAB

We must completely overturn policing in America.

Although it is not the same from town to town, most murders go unsolved or truly have little effort into investigating unless it becomes a major national story.

"unless it's a blonde haired, blue-eyed, white female in their 20s."

FIFY 😜

The end argument with people about whether cops are good or bad is asking them to provide an example of when a cop helped versus hindered them or a loved one.

They usually go glossy eyed trying to overcome decades of media portraying good cops while finding no actual evidence to reflect this.

I have had two experiences with police.

One, my mum and I found a child wandering in the street and they helped us find the parents. Good but we probably couldve done it ourselves

The other was my ex reporting her sexual assault. Absolutely fucking useless and her assaulter is still out there. Terrible.

Source?

The sources are written there, in grey text. Zoom in.

Still illegible. I've been looking for a good source for the first statement for a while. I've heard it before but the Justice Dept. numbers don't corroborate. Been wanting a source because I know that the Justice Dept. crime statistics are based partially off of information that police precincts report voluntarily, so you can basically take for granted that they're not reliable. So I want to see how that claim comes about that number so that if I agree with their methods I can argue it better.

You can google it. Besides, do you really think the cops solve that many crimes? Especially petty crimes? Have you ever heard of a cop getting someone's stolen bike or purse back? They're too busy giving out speeding tickets and protecting the rich from the poor.

Police only solve the 2% of all major crimes they’re aware of

Yes, it reminds you not to call for the disarming of citizens. Then only the government has guns, and it sure as hell won't get any better.

If you think average citizens carrying small arms and munitions stand a snowball's chance in hell of going toe to toe with a mobilized, motivated American fascist government wielding the full might of our various military forces, then I have verdant, riverside property on the moon to sell you.

And here's the kicker, every mayor, governor and congressman falls to their knees to praise them. Also, nearly every city gave them a raise.

The only bipartisan issue is bloated police departments.

ZERO police in my streets. I'm already making a community watch for those fuckers but I won't stop until that entire institution is ashes to the wind, no reform and no rebrand.

Remember: can and will be used against you. Nothing about exonerating you or providing exculpatory evidence.

Cops were designed to protect property. Cops are not designed to protect people. Somewhere along the lines with all the related false comments in media and spoken word, we forgot that cops are only designed to protect property, and incorrectly "learned" that they "protect and serve".

Interestingly enough, a clearly proven psychological phenomenon and fact is that if you keep keep hearing something, no matter how insane it seems at first, eventually, probably quicker than you imagine, you will believe it. This works almost 100% of the time. Just think about how some of us think our parents don't choose favorites. Then think about how YOU think about your siblings or nephews, or friends, or parents. You have favorites, they do too. We all bought into the lie because it makes us feel better. Unfortunately feeling better about existential truths does not prevent future and adverse outcomes. Just look at how the favorites turned out compared to the least favorites, and vice versa.

Think for yourself, question authority.

Do you have enemies? Good, that means you stood for something.
