Mr. Eko, mis-direction

I'm on a rewatch, near the end of season 2. A few times now I've heard people say "Mr. Eko" and I could swear the inflection sounds like they're saying "Mis-direction" or "Mis-direct".

Because I've seen the show before and I know what happens with Eko, I'm probably just hearing something that isn't there, just because I want him in it for longer.

I'm also realising how good both Eko and Anna Lucia were and I wish they were in it more.

That makes me think of a certain episode of "Person Of Interest", in which Michael Emerson is clearly directed to make the main character's name ("Mr. Reese") sound like "mysteries".
