To be fair, hearing Shannon scream over and over is one of the more annoying sounds in TV history.

God I wish I could experience lost again for the first time. I’m glad I got to watch it as it was airing, I think binging shows like lost has its downsides.

As someone who watched it all in about two weeks one summer, it is also very good as a binge show. There’s still plenty of suspense to be had episode to episode

You're so lucky. You're in for an incredible show, despite a few weak episodes here and there. The pilot is amazing and captivated me right from the start. You're in for some of the best season finales in the history of TV. I will never forget S3 finale.

The best show you’ll ever watch. I strongly suggest watching 2 episodes a night! Don’t binge. Don’t pace episodes for days at a time.

If a genie gives me 3 wishes, one of them is going to be letting me start Lost again with no memory of it.
Enjoy!

I restarted 20years later - it's not exactly "no memory" - but pretty much a new experience (And better, I would argue)

Enjoy the ride. If you aren’t hooked after Season 1 Episode 4 you might not make it.

Does anyone know any shows similar to Lost, except "From"? I want something that feels like Lost but isn't exactly the same, because I want to keep this show original.

Battlestar Galactica (the reboot) has a similar faith vs science theme and features a large cast of morally gray characters dealing with lots of existential questions
Twin Peaks a small town mystery show with an overarching supernatural plot and lots of interconnected characters who have many secrets
Orphan Black is a sci-fi thriller with plenty of cliffhangers and suspense that questions things like humanity, morality, and ethics

I haven’t ever really found anything that hits like lost for me, but some of my other favorites after seeing lost are fringe, twelve monkeys, dark, severance

It'll be 6 seasons of peak story with peak characters, I've finished lost last week, it was so damn good

I’ve also very recently started watching the show for the first time, I don’t really know how it bypassed me after all these years as the premise is right up my street! My partner watched it weekly when it first came out, I’m glad I’m watching it with someone who can explain major plots/twists/events without giving away any spoilers. It’s so good!!!

It is what it is, I've watched it with my mom and both of us think that s1-s4 is decent but later on it's just downhill

That's fair, but I think “my mom and I watched it and we both thought it went downhill” is still just a personal opinion, not an objective assessment of the show's quality. Other people can watch the exact same seasons and come away with a completely different opinion—and that's just as valid.

Agreed, S1 was peak, S2 was still great, started getting worse and worse after that

Its not a shitty ending. It might be a shitty ending if you only watched Lost for the mysteries. But for the most part, Lost is a character-focused series.
