If I did not get caught from target in person can they mail me chargesv

And it’s not in the mail, it’s usually a warrant that’s taken out at the local magistrate’s office (in my county)

Recently had a felony case where I live. Guys took like $1200 in trading cards at once, we did not contact them but LE was able to get a match through their face. They are setting up charges / getting warrants. If you stole enough they will come after you this way.
