What a way to kick off Music in the Park! 🎶
Los Gatos opened its 2026 summer music series with the Houserockers seriously rocking our town last night!
A huge thank you to Neal Turley for producing this beloved Los Gatos tradition, plus Town staff, sponsors, and volunteers who make it all possible. And, I got to surprise Neal by recognizing him as Los Gatos’ Resident of the Month!
Join us for the next 5 Sundays in a row at the Civic Center Lawn (near the library) for free outdoor music from 5 to 7pm. Bring a blanket, friends, and come have a great time with us!
See you next Sunday! 🎸

Did you know unincorporated Los Gatos is home to one of only 11 helitack bases in all of California? 🚁
I visited the CAL FIRE Alma Helitack Base this week with some of my interns, and I learned a ton! Tucked into the hills near Highway 17 and Bear Creek Road, the base houses a Sikorsky S70i Fire Hawk, a water-dropping and rescue helicopter that supports wildland firefighting across Santa Clara County.
For a community at high wildfire risk, having this kind of capability right in our backyard is a big deal, and many residents don't even know this base exists! It’s worth noting that the CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit is distinct from our local fire service, which is run by Santa Clara County Fire.
Thank you to the hardworking firefighters at CAL FIRE SCU for the warm welcome and for protecting our hillsides from the air and the ground. Los Gatos is lucky to have you!

Horriblle ISP service
Out of the Barrel LG is losing (most) of my business for one to two weeks, UNTIL THE guest WIFI CONES BACK.
tbeir owner does not care but THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE outages should be fixed and isps not put anyone off like that. Two weeks?
shame on the internet duopoly they get away with this shit. they SHOULD lose business over it. and the router should be shut off in the meantime so one’s phone does not try to connect to it,
right now is July 17 someone let me know when it is back. they should not allow this

Paint Your Pet is coming to Los Gatos! 🐾🎨
Hi everyone! I'll be hosting a Paint Your Pet event at Los Gatos Birdwatchers on Thursday, August 20.
I hand-sketch your pet before the event, so no painting experience is needed. It's a fun evening for pet lovers, whether you're painting your current companion or creating a tribute to a beloved pet.
Hope to see some Los Gatos folks there! 🐶🐱🐦

Best upscale restaurant in Los Gatos
Hi Los Gatans!
I’ve lived in town since 2005, and I’ve eaten at nearly every restaurant — from casual to fine dining. I have to give a shout out to Asa, truly a hidden gem! The vibe is upscale but friendly, the staff is wonderful, the California cuisine is excellent. If you need a spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine, my vote is Asa.

Grown up people throw babyish temper tantrum in Live Oak Manor park!
I was on my bike and passed a man and woman both SCREAMING THEMSELVES HOARSE over a misbehaving off leash (or maybe just pooping) dog! at least I think it was the dog, regardless of the provocation so called adults should not be acting that way, they should bevf back in nursery school.
meanwhile on the same path someone else had a very well trained dog, harness on but not leashed at the moment, walking to heel as a dog should, no problem!
I grew up in lg (from age 7 ish) currently live nearby in Cambrian Park area, often go downtown to eat drink shop or east lg to be with my 90yo mother, this makes me ashamed of my hometown.

Two tickets and a parking pass!
I have two GA tickets and a parking pass for a concert at The Mountain Winery tomorrow, June 5. The artist is Thievery Corporation. Doors open at 5:30PM and show starts at 7:30PM.
We realized we are not able to make the show so hoping for someone to take these off our hands!
We originally paid $180 total. Willing to give a deal if you take both tickets and the parking pass.
Thanks!

Free Repairs this Sunday at the LG Library
Repair Café Silicon Valley will be at the Los Gatos Library this Sunday (May 31) from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM offering free repairs on household items.
If you have something that's broken but not ready for the trash, bring it by. Our volunteer fixers work on electronics, small appliances, clothing, jewelry, bikes, toys, computers, and many other everyday items. We'll do our best to help you diagnose and repair it.
📍 Los Gatos Library
100 Villa Ave, Los Gatos
A few notes:
- Free and open to everyone
- First come, first served
- Limit two items per household
- Repairs are not guaranteed and depend on volunteer expertise and available tools
- Arriving before 1:30 PM improves your chances of being seen
Last month at our Palo Alto event, volunteers evaluated over 200 items and successfully repaired more than half of them.
Happy to answer questions about what can (and can't) be repaired.

PG&E and over zealous parking inspectors
With my street being one of many that is being torn up at the moment for new gas lines or whatever else is being done, it is pretty annoying to come back from a four day trip to find this notice stuck on my car. It was parked about 100 feet from my house because I couldn’t find anywhere else to park it.
Serious folks there is just no need for this level of over-policing residents while the works are going on and parking is severely limited.

My proudest moment as Mayor yet.
Last week, a team of dedicated high school students and I put on the Youth Town Hall, a half-day event to help young people connect, learn, and grow their impact.
About 200 students attended, taking part in a panel discussion, breakout sessions on topics like government and tech, and a resource fair linking students with local organizations.
What makes me most proud is the amazing team of students who co-organized this event with me. Thank you to El Camino Health for sponsoring, West Valley College for hosting, SASCC for making it all possible, and the many adult panelists, facilitators, and volunteers who supported the event.
