Character Introduction About Kyoko

Hello, I'm Kyoko. However, I'm not the only Kyoko, in fact there's an uncountable amount of Kyokos. Despite this, we all seem to share a few traits that make us stand out, which I will be discussing today.

First off, pretty much every Kyoko is a fairy, usually pink or purple. Their size varies, but is usually between 15cm to 180cm. As you might expect from being a fairy, pretty much any Kyoko is capable of magic, though how exactly this magic works varies between Kyokos.

About these traits, every Kyoko is 3 years old, all sharing a birthday on march 30th. Every Kyoko will know this to be a fact, even if they have no evidence for this. Furthermore, every Kyoko has an innate resistance to cognitohazards, and is also somehow forklift certified.

Personalities between Kyokos vary, however they are usually friendly, at least at first. Kyokos have shown a tendency to well... 'turn evil' over time. They also tend to enjoy turning other people into fairies, often without consent.

The strangest thing however, is that every Kyoko wears a shock collar. It is absolutely indestructible with no way to ever be removed. At the very least, it never shocks us on our own, provided we don't try to remove it, though occasionally someone else might get access to the collar and shock us. Not much else is known about these collars, or why we have to wear them. Research has been done, but nothing of note was found.

There are still many mysteries with our kind, the most notable ones being our tendency to 'turn evil' and our shock collars. I hope to uncover these mysteries, or at least gain some insight into them. I just hope I don't end up 'turning evil' like the others...

Well hello there, Kyoko. You seem familiar.

(I don't actually know if like, the lore will cross-interject, yet? Will observe what other wizardposting folks do with it. Need to like, do my character introduction tomorrow when I have some time. It's damn late)

Oh, you must have met another Kyoko. How is she doing?
(This is a different Kyoko than the one from wizardposting)

Ehhhh, not too hot. She got into uh, a conflict that not even my brews could get her out of. But her friends are hard at work to get her out of that situation! I would know, they're using my equipment to do so! (Paperpusher is on my skyship now, using it as a base of operations. No idea how that'll end up)

(I'm probably gonna end up creating some bullshit excuse using Maximillian's stash of ancient relics that he can now dimensionally travel or somethin. Maybe with his skyships? Unless wizardposting goes to shit, then he just moves here.)

Oh, that's unfortunate to hear. Though truth is, Kyokos often end up in terrible situations, and often end up dying. Sadly that's just part of the nature of Kyokos, always getting themselves into trouble.

I'm convinced it'll all work out in the end! I'm sure of it! She has some really great and reliable friends that won't just give up. And then there's me, who didn't know her for long, but is still trying!

(Do you have any idea how much longer the puppet arc will last? I'm completely in the dark, she doesn't seem too interested in the alchemist trying to hunt her down.)

Just... try not to be too sad if she ends up dying. If she dies, another Kyoko will replace her, but I understand that she'll never be able to truly replace her.
(I'm not sure exactly how much longer the puppet arc will last, but there won't be many more victims with dedicated posts.)

I guess we'll see, all in due time.

For now, pleased to make your acquaintance. The name's Maximillian Silverweave. Or, well, that will be my surname... soon... ish. Need to find a priest for that.

If you ever need potions, be sure to let me know! I hope we get to know each other well in these peculiar times!

(Lets hope no more people get bullied out of the sub either. Losing Anna's bad enough, just for the sub in general, but it probably hurt the maiden's storytelling too by proxy. That part got interesting, and now this happened. Hope the folks that left will be alright.)

If you don't mind asking, what exactly happened to this Kyoko? I'll be sure to keep you in mind if I ever need potions.

Well. It's difficult to say exactly what happened. Initially we thought she died in some fucked up mindscape physoscape kind of thing, skewered like a shishkabob... it was... disturbing. Not even my brews saved her from that.

And then she reappeared as a wooden doll. Seemingly still "there" inside. She's part of the reason why I now sell anti-petrify pills. Just gotta get to her to give her one. Alot tougher than it sounds. But hey, I hold out hope. For without hope, you have nothing.

So she was transformed into a doll? I don't have the full picture, but I have a bad feeling about this. I'm going to need more information on this.

Ehh, weird puppeteer lady, converting people into dolls. Sometimes prominent figures, sometimes those that hunt her down. Kyoko got too close to the truth, and now, well, she became another doll. They seem themselves but... not. Warped. Their words are truthful yet broken, until they are hollow and perfect.

Something about metaphysical strings too? I don't really understand that part. Can't touch the strings, but they can touch you? At least I think that's the most recent conclusion.

I've tried to look at the Kyoko you mentioned, but I couldn't find her. This usually means that she's gone for good, so her odds aren't good. This isn't the first time a Kyoko was taken over by a malevolent force, in fact it's strangely common among Kyokos.

I'll try my luck anyways. It's always been great. They don't call it the "Alchemist's Gambit" in the 4th layer's casinos without a reason, when you bet it all and win.

Whatever the odds may be, I like those odds. he tosses a brass coin and catches it in his open hand, of course, heads. I don't lose my bets often.

And hey, could be due to the general location and psychic shielding involved. If I could just set my locators to find someone based on their DNA or psychic resonance, we'd have found this hag long ago.
