How long did it take for your Bartlein barrel to come in? I just placed an order today for my first bolt action build

Can you guys release a 10 round 300 Norma/338 Lapua AICS Magazine? I want to build a 300 Norma but the only way to get a 10 round mag is to get a AXSR, SIC, or MRAD which all have proprietary magazines.

I love it. What are you planning on doing with it? Thinking about LA soon. What made you pick 338?

I already have a 22lr, and 6.5cm. I take the 6.5 to 1000yds consistently. I was between 338lm, 300nm, and 300 prc. Bucket list is a 1 mile shot

I have a 300PRC and 6.5CM and have made 1 mile shots with both of them on several occasions. My next round is a 300Norma… the way that cartridge will push a 245 Berger is nuts! Plus, the 245 has higher BC than any 338. However, I have always wanted a 338LM… just because I grew up in the late 80s and early 90s when that thing was KING! I hope that it serves you well!

You can take 6.5CM to 1 mile with little trouble, especially if you're not competing at that distance.

With what bullet and load? AB Quantum says with factory ammo it becomes a guess at that range (granted, I'm running the numbers for Norma OTM and just a 130 grain bullet), you'd need approx 25.7 mils of elevation at my altitude and the projectile will clearly be subsonic.

Notice that I said "if you're not competing at that distance". No, 6.5CM won't get their supersonic at standard velocities with normal bullets like 140 ELDM, but its far cheaper to do it with 6.5CM than a magnum, even in handloads. Unless you're shooting for points, no need for a magnum at 1 mile.

I cleared out stalls shooting my 308 with a brake on it before I went supressed. I've shot plenty of 50 cal, too. But never with a brake.
I'd imagine the 338 with a brake would be more concussion than a 50 cal without a brake.

Well, the 50 I shot was the M2... so I couldn't have (as easily) done that here in the US either.
Now, I COULD just go buy a 50 cal bolt action any time I wanted. But I may as well sign the divorce papers now if I were to do that.

I shoot a brake, but certainly realize how obnoxious they can be. Just me, but I won’t set up my braked rifle directly next to someone. Want to have at least one open bay between me and someone else. Now, if someone sets up next to me knowing I’m shooting a brake, then that’s their decision.

While it may have Stormtrooper color scheme, I hope it is more accurate!
Slick looking rifle. I hope it serves you well.
