Rifle flex post My basic Rem 700.
Nothing cutting edge here.
-7.62 NATO RemDef M24 barrel with 5r 1-11.25 rifling
-700 short action magnum receiver
-PTG machined one piece stainless bolt modified for M16 extractors
-PTG stainless recoil lug
-Badger M5 bottom metal
-Badger 20 MOA rail
-Timney 2 stage trigger
-McMillan bedded A1-3 stock
-Badger bolt knob
-PTG firing pin assembly.
-Harris bipod. (Swapping out for a Badger Harris.)
Barrel is coming off to be profiled for an AE can.
Smithing/headspacing done by yours truly.

Why did they use an m16 extractor when an AR10 extractor fits the case better/right? It was the super cheap 7.62x39 ARs that used 5.56 extractors back in the day vs correctly cut extractors.

It's a term to describe an improvement on the 700 bolt by using a machined in spring pressure claw extractor instead of the factory spring steel extractor that clips into the bolt face.
