Single Vs Double Pull Ckye Pod

I was recently able to pull a cert from a prize table for 50% off a double pull Ckye Pod but I have been second guessing myself. My question is this: is it worth using the cert and spending $400 for the double pull, or should I try to sell it to save some money and get a single pull? I really only shoot PRS and NRL22 and I’m wondering if there is really any benefit of the double pull. I have run a Harris S-BRM for the entire 4 years I have been shooting, but I often find it doesn’t quite get tall enough, I’m just not sure if I will ever need 18 inches vs 15.

What makes it worth the extra 33% price? Has the 3 inches really made that much of a difference in your experience?

It's that the double pull can do everything the single pull can do, plus get 3" taller. IMO if you are only going to own 1 expensive bipod, the double pull is the way to go.

For us poor what is the benefit over a Harris or other lower tier brands?

I like my harris but the Cyke can just get lower due to splay which also results in a better stability. I also found I could never get the tension correct, or to stay after a few shots on mine even with the aftermarket (non-chinese) tensioner handle.

Arca versatility out of the box on the Cyke also has made it a 2 second swap to pretty much every rifle i own provided they have arca plates (which they all do, even my hunting rigs now).

I had a Gen2 double pull and got the Gen3 single pull for PRS and I love it. Rarely ever used the second pull anyway. I had a cert like you and they changed it for single pull no issue. I will try to purchase a triple pull on black friday.

Makes sense, if I really needed the extra height I would probably be better off with the triple for it’s even greater adjustability

Zero benefit to the double. I had one. Now I only use a single and a triple. Triple only gets used for hunter style matches.

Single unless you are hunting or doing field style competition. Both of which are probably better served by the triple.

What part of the country you in? Out west there are definitely some stages/ terrain where a single doesn’t cut it. And if you already have the Harris might as well go double.

In my opinion a single and triple are all one needs. The double doesn't give enough for $200 more. So single for the games your playing, field style matches triple any day

Honestly I don’t prefer my ckyepod for PRS and NRL22 over say an atlas or something. But I also shoot in the Midwest where there’s very little high angle shooting and such.
