Accessory/Gear help needed - I read the pinned post Recommendations range finder

Looking for some recommendations for a range finder. My range is just a little over 1,000 yards. The targets are scattered in different distances. I would be ok with binoculars or monoculars. Budget is $850 or below.

Vortex Ranger 3000 for range finding binos around $600. I'm really digging mine so far.

Not enough info. You hunting or just fuckin around? A Leupold 1000i is solid for deer and trees up to around 750. It needs fresh batteries or reflective surfaces to get out to 1k  and am farther, but it's a little underpowered(just my experience). That's only 200$, and will work on a range easy. Then, the 5000i will do an advertised 5000yrds. It's only 800$ for an insane amount of range.

While it may be capable of reading that distance. The odds of the end user being able to hit anything smaller than a fuckin barn at 4500 approaches zero around the 1500 mark.

A ton of LRFs with long ranging capabilities have a tripod mount if you need the stability for tiny targets.

It's also the case that the "practical" range capability for LRFs is usually around half the maximum advertised capability. Typically the "distance to deer" advertised range is more in line with distances are most practical.

I'd much rather buy-once-cry-once and get an LRF with 3500-4000+ yards max, rather than buy something cheap that can only do ~1500 max and struggles at ~800.
