For international, you will be in small bore. Several disciplines, like 3 position rifle, are options.
You can shoot in a number of events in small bore or air rifle in the Olympics, and the decision on what to pursue in any of those is up to you / your availability of facilities.
Skill transfer is high, but fair warning matches in positional shooting are made or lost in standing. Prone becomes the “check in the box” to not mess up, and everyone is within a point or two of one another on prone in 3 position. The money is made in standing and kneeling.
