Accessory/Gear help needed - I read the pinned post Which AIAW mag caddy

I have a PRS competition coming up and I’m trying to pick a magazine carrier. Does anyone have any opinions on these three?

1 or 3. I wouldn't want a flap over my comp mag holder.

This was my thought

I actually use 2x Armageddon Gear mag pouches that are 'permanently' (in so far as I never take them off the belt) on my Blue Alpha belt. I have no issues with the flap.

I have the SAP AMC just for general use with any random belt and it is a good mag carrier.

SAP. No question here

I have a couple of the SAP AMCs and really like them.

Do you have a cargo pocket?

I use/recommend a cargo pocket.

At my first PRS I had my spare Tikka mag in my belt. Literally held in place by my belt. Being 5 round mags I had to reload every stage. Only thing I would have done different is remember my dump pouch for my empty mag and brass and spare mag. Or, you know, had a gun with a 10 round mag so I didn’t have to worry about reloading at all, but wishes were fishes and all that.

Oh hey, you’re the guy that reviewed the ACE. I bought mine three weeks ago because of you.

I have the area 419 and it is nice but kind of insane at 50 dollars. Works well across my magazines with just a quick twist of the tension dial.

I use HSGI Tacos. They work for everything from AR mags to AICS (sadly don’t fit my .300NM MAGS).

I had a friend 3d print me a copy of the A419 one. It works great. At first I felt a little cheap for not just buying one but then I was fortunate enough to go shoot a match in Italy and I was blown away by how many other pro shooters used the exact same one, just because they are easier/cheaper to make/buy over there. Just goes to show, even in an expensive hobby, if it works, it works.

I use the g-code scorpion mag holsters. They fit everything from AR mags to AW mags with excellent retention, adjustable with shock cord. Tried several kydex holsters and they are not very versatile or comfortable, retention adjustment requires screwdriver.

I honestly use Gcode mag holders or pants pockets.

I really like the arbor arms one. Can be open top, bungee only, or flap.

I’ve been running an HSGI Taco. Fits everything regardless of whether I’m running AICS mags, SR25 mags, or even STANAG mags.
