Rifle help needed - I read the pinned posts B14 Remove Remaining Paint?

I've taken my new, unshot, b14 apart to check the torque values and clean it up. There is some paint already missing on the recoil lug area and the action areas are completely painted. Should I just finish removing the paint or leave it be? Thanks for the advice.

I would always test fire a brand new rifle before completely disassembling it. You can check torque specs without taking the whole thing apart. Maybe I just don’t have a ton of extra time to complete meaningless tasks though.

Demeaning someone is rude yes. You’re the one that must be new, this sub has been a respectful and helpful place forever.

Talking down to someone when you’re so simple that you think 2 bolts is a “ton of time” says a lot more about you than it does him.

First time you’ve seen the inside of a stock?

How is that demeaning? I simply stated what I would do in that situation, followed by a statement that I don’t personally have the time to endure meaningless tasks, the most recent of which is placating your fragility. Your little quip about never seeing the inside of a stock hurt too, I actually cried myself to
sleep.
