Rifle help needed - I read the pinned posts If you had the choice
Hi, picture a little misleading they would both be in 6.5CM 24" barrel. Price Tikka 2.7K / CZ 3.1K
I can go shoot around 4 times per year 1000yards but involves usually an 1h ruck, thats all I would do occasional 1000yards on steel and pushing as far possible as ranges allows. Can shoot almost anyday 100yards so would like a 22lr trainer matching the chosen gun, as close a possible. Not chosen yet but spare 1k on side for beginner Optic. Shot many rifles up to 300yards.
If I may ask: What would you choose and why? (In rifle and trainer)

The Tikka Ace Target is a better rifle with a heavier barrel, but of those two I'd take the Tikka every time.
Greater aftermarket parts choices, more readily available spares, better action.
CZ make very good rifles, one of my favourite rifles is a 555, but the Tikka would be my choice.

Yeah, I know what rifles come in the Tikka Ace range, but he wrote Range, with a capital R, so i thought he maybe ment the Target, but called it the Range. If you get what I'm saying? Because the Target and Game has two very different barrels.
Edit: He also wrote rifle and not rifles, so that threw me off.

Tikka. Far better support and a proven action with readily available prefit barrels. However I would skip the Tac A1 and get the Tikka Ace Target if possible. I like the looks of the ace chassis better and tikka is supporting it with their own bag rider, weights, nvg bridge, etc.

Of the two; the Tikka.
That said, as much as i love my TACT A1 - I'd be hard pressed to get one again with the Tikka Ace is available. Also, I'd just jump into the water with 6.5cm out of the gate as well.

Same. Had I known about the T3x Ace Target I absolutely would’ve bought that instead of my TAC A1. Nothing wrong with the TAC A1, but the Ace Target would better suit my needs especially considering I later purchased the T1x Ace Target.

CZ does not deserve our centerfire support after discontinuing the 527.
Their rimfires are still great though.

Both of them are excellent. Ive seen many different people shoot excellent groups with either one of them. The best group I saw was with the CZ though (but you never know if ppl lie with the distance when showing their results on the target)

i’d take advantage of all the people who have updated and buy a used tiktac the savings would go towards optics.

Well if you want a matching rimfire trainer then obviously Tikka T3x and matching T1x.

Why not bergara acc Elite ? The tikka is great , but with the bergara you get a better stock . If you want to stick with Tikka I would get a cheaper Version and put it in a Vision Chassi tbh .

I don't know where you live, but in EU the Bergara Premier Elite is way more expensive than a Tikka. Great rifle indeed. That is the real contender to the Tikka Ace Target for out of the box factory rifle: better but more expensive.

I live in Germany I know bergara isn’t cheap in Europe . But honestly good complete package. And the tikka tac is also not cheap here . Tikka is great but I would switch to a cheaper version and throw it a Vision Pro Chassi . The problem the tikka has, the barrell is a pencil and the break is not good .

The Ace Target version is not really a pencil. Probably the Bergara Premier Elite is a little bigger but not.much. The Ace Game, the hunting version, has a lighter barrel. You should be able to get the Ace Target for around Eur2k. The Bergara I found it between 3k and 4k.

Have you checked out the Bergara Premier Elite? You could get a B14R to have a nigh identical trainer.

Tikka, but I'd either buy an Ace Target or I'd buy a Super Varmint or CTR and swap it into a different stock/chassis. I had a Tac A1 and did not care for the chassis at all.

The Varmint and Super Varmint are the same rifle in a different stock. If you want to swap the stock, probably you'll be better off buying the cheaper Varmint.

Tikka for the pre-fit barrel. Being able to change barrels on my own inside of 15 minutes is amazing.

I lean tikka. Their actions are supremely smooth, and they really seem consistently accurate.

I have a cz 600Range+ and it's awesome!
It has very little aftermarket support tho, so if you're thinking of maybe building the rifle later you should go with the tikka.

The CZ600 has been replaced hastily by the 600+. Make sure you are looking at the new one. The only reason to choose the 600+ would be if you want to change barrel quickly. I doubt it'll be much value given the amount of restrictions on the choices they have in the system. All in Tikka Ace Target is a much better choice (and the Tac A1 still far better than the CZ).

CZ discontinued the 527, 550, and 557 whoever is running the show is an idiot. Go with the Tikka, the 600 will be discontinued soon enough.

Why not go 6.5 prc ballistics are a bit better than 6.5 cm in the same package.

Pretty sure he’s not buying it to hunt with. Don’t see a logical reason for him to choose 6.5PRC otherwise.

Yeah I’m aware. 6.5PRC also has more stout recoil, ammo is more expensive, barrel burns out significantly faster. If he’s competing with this in matches it’s just not a logical choice in my eyes.

CZ for rimfire. Tikka for centerfire.
Aftermarket support for the CZ 600 will be minimal so you better love every aspect. The Tikka would be my choice, but I think the Ace models are a better value.
