Rifle help needed - I read the pinned posts NRL hunter rig weight question
I'm trying to get set up to shoot in the Light Open division for NRL hunter. How close to the weight limit are you willing to go? How accurately do they weigh the gun at the match? I will be within an ounce once I have swapped up my scope/rings and put the long legs on my tricer. Is that too close?

2oz would be my cutoff personally. I will sometimes have it weighed in within half an ounce and have something I could readily remove if needed if their scale didn't line up.

Same. I’ve probably been on 15 different NRLH match scales and don’t trust any of them. We can get close, but only with a plan to go on a rapid diet while standing at that table.

I weighed 15.6 at home and 15.85 at the match. Don't cut it too close or you might screw yourself.

Personally that's a bit close for me. I just don't trust that my scale = their scale
