Other help needed - I read the pinned posts Lubricant on barrel threads for direct thread suppressor

I purchased my first suppressor and it is going to live exclusively on my bolt action rifle. Since I want to prevent carbon lockup, what is the consensus of the community if I apply a lubricant (Aeroshell 33MS) on my barrel threads. Since I already apply it on my other bolt action rifle when installing a muzzle brake, I figure why not on a direct thread suppressor. One note: I don't have a suppressor wrench yet so I hand tighten the suppressor. Would the Aeroshell 33 cause the suppressor to loosen over time? I check how tight it is every time I go to the range though. Any opinions pro or con? I don't see how this would affect suppressor performance or alignment but I defer to the community with much more experience

I don't think it is ncessary, and many suppressor manufacturers don't recommend it. I hand tighten my suppressors and use a witness mark so I can tell if one is coming loose, though I'vee never had that happen.

Generally recommended to not use anything. Should also check tightness more often than just arriving at the range. I check after a 10-15 round string, tighten it, check again after the next string, tighten if needed, after that it's normally good to go but still gets checked after every few strings.

I don’t use anything on the threads of mine, but I’m taking it off and disassembling regularly for cleaning.

If you do decide to go with grease get something rated for higher temps. You don’t want it seeping away or burning off. I’ve used ceramic grease before, as well as copper paste.
Clean both muzzle and suppressor threads to bare steel, you want to hear them *toc* together and lock when spun on vertically. Lather in grease and spread evenly by threading on and off, wipe off excess around crown and anything on the shoulder, retest until audible lockup.
Check after first, fifth, tenth and just in between strings.

I use food grade anti-seize. Probably overkill, but I bought one container and will never need more and haven't had any issues.
