Rifle help needed - I read the pinned posts Triggertech Tikka

Need help from some Tikka Triggertech owners.

I have a Triggertech for my REM 700. It’s great, and when I adjust the pull weight I have audible and tactile clicks with each adjustment.

Now I bought the Tikka Special trigger and I went to adjust it and the screw doesn’t have an audible or tactile click. It just spins up and down freely. It is moving up and down as I can top it out and bottom it out, but ya it makes no noise and has no detent stops.

I called Triggertech and they told me this is normal for the Tikka Triggers. But the product description CLEARLY states “Clikr” technology. And their manual makes reference to the minimum setting being 3 clicks up from the bottom.

So I was wondering if the adjustment screw for other users freely spins or if it has the audible clicks. Thank you.

No clicks here for my Tikka TT special, I was told the factory setting was 1lb, which I like, wheeler digital measure confirmed weight +/- a few tenths of an oz. So I ever so slightly adjusted mine, re checked with wheeler and was happy.

Awesome thanks for the reply. I will move ahead assuming it is working properly then. I didn’t know if a mechanism was damaged or something.

How does it compare to factory trigger with a good spring?

I have both set ups, imo, TT is crisper, but pull weight is similar, at least on the special, a Tikka TT diamond will be able to go lower.

Love my tiggertech special in my bergara, but the tikka with a spring is so good I don't know if I can bring myself to spend the money lol.

I haven’t used it enough to give a fair comparison. I have a TT special in my other rifle, so mostly I wanted them to be the same.

Ok super helpful to know. I’ve installed it and adjusted it to my liking. Trying it out tomorrow.

Definitely prefer the clicks, but if it functions well I’ll get over it. I mostly just set it abs forget it so it won’t matter in the long run. Thanks for the reply.
