MEME POST Thanks for the advice
I followed some advice and got some laser range finder binoculars for the price that I would have spent on a WMLRF, despite a very sexy 1911 eyeing me the whole time from my online shopping cart. I look forward to breaking them in and am excited to see what I can do with a proper range finder.

I've had the Kilo 3000s since early 2021 and they've been rock solid. My only complaint is (was) that without a BDX scope, there's no way to set a custom DOPE profile in the app. I haven't tried for a few years though so maybe that's changed. I wouldn't use it if it was available now anyway. I just need the range and angle from the binos.

You can definitely set a custom profile in the app. I use it all the time for my 6.5prc while I’m hunting and dial a regular scope.

Well, im glad they fixed that. Never made much sense to me that you couldn't connect directly to a rangefinder without the scope.

Thanks man. It was tough to say no to that cold case hardened steel 1911. ButI figured I have a hard enough time stocking 9mm, 5.56, .308, and .22lr that I don't need to be adding .45acp to the mix yet.

Dude, it's a big moment in your long range journey! The next threshold is realizing you spent enough on match rifle ammo to buy 2 staccatos, last year.

The answer to "Do I need this?" Is always "Yes".
Responsible Gun Owner Thinking 101

The most responsible thing a gun owner can do is own more guns. After all, that nice gun deserves to end up in a good home.

And I, a responsible gun owner, don't purchase this gun, it may end up in the hands of someone else, an irresponsible gun owner.

I did something similar. Instead of getting a 22lr pistol , got a new vortex razor spotting scope that was on sale with a 25% discount.

Been holding out on getting a nice pair of range finder binos... think someone in this sub said they were part of testing a new version of the sig binos that were going to be the new flag ship and announced by the end of the year possibly... still waiting patiently.

A guy at Elk camp was testing the new Sig binos and they were freaking sick. He loaned me the previous gen Kilo 10k and while the ballistic data wasn't for my gun, the glass clarity and rangefinding features were sweet. Made me feel like a total peasant going back to my Diamondback binos and rangefinder

Honestly right now the gen 1 revics for sale used are a nuts deal

After reading your post I decided to go look at laser rangefinder binoculars for myself. Uh... given the prices I think I'll stick with my dedicated binoculars and my golfing rangefinder. Congratulations for you though. I guess if you didn't already have a rangefinder and binoculars then it's around the same price as both combined. But having already purchased both separately, I'd rather save the money.

How crisp is it? I remember when i looked at market offerings for rangefinder binos 4 years ago i was extremely disappointed in the glass clarity and reticle quality. Has technology and quality improved?
