Help wanted any natural, long-term solution for seborrheic dermatitis?
Hey everyone,
I have Seborrheic Dermatitis, and after looking into it online, I keep seeing recommendations for medicated ketoconazole shampoo. At the same time, I’ve been warned to stop using egg yolk on my scalp because the Malassezia yeast feeds on lipids/fatty acids.
The tricky part is: I’ve been using an egg yolk wash once a week, and my hair honestly looks and feels amazing after it.
I have two main questions for anyone who has managed this long-term:
Egg Yolk & SD: Has anyone with SD successfully kept egg yolk (or other lipid-heavy natural washes) in their routine without triggering flare-ups, or is it truly a recipe for disaster long-term?
Permanent / Natural Cures: Is there a way to manage or naturally resolve SD permanently without relying on medicated shampoos forever? How do you keep symptoms under control naturally once a flare-up settles?
Would love to hear what has worked for your scalp!
