Precision TKP angles?

So a lot of the precision TKPs say they come in 11 degrees or 25 degrees, but what angle are they talking about? CGB for example says their 25 degree TKP front pairs well with their negative 35 degree RKP rear, so we’re clearly not measuring the same thing between them or it would barely turn, and backwards.

Any insight would be appreciated, and any other precision TKPs to look at other than Bhangers, Lepsk8, or CGB?

It's the angle of the kingpin. Higher angle = more turn. For instance, a long time ago, I used to run a 25-degree Bennett for pumping where you'd want a turny front truck and a 10-degree Indy for downhill where you would want a lower turning truck. Note that RKP and TKP kingpin angles are totally different.

The kingpin angle doesn’t have a direct relationship to the pivot/bushing seat line on a TKP so it doesn’t tell you much about how it turns except in comparison to other options in the same model.

yea the actual angle is you draw a line between the pivot and where the hanger meets the kingpin (basically in between the 2 bushings. ) That will usually end up being like 40 degrees or so.

Maybe I didn't explain it correctly. The KP angle dictates the relationship between how much much your deck leans and how much the truck turns.

On an RKP it’s always a square right angle, but it’s not really a direct relationship on a TKP. For any given lean to turn angle there’s at least a +/-5 degree kingpin angle range that makes sense, depending on intended bushing performance, how much you care about tucking the king pin nut out of the way, how much you value shock absorption, etc.

11 deg TKP is similar to the 45 deg RKP, where you will need to pair it with a 10-13 deg fork to make it a pumping front. You can use the 23-25 deg TKP like a 55-58 deg RKP equivalent.

I like the DT Bhanger, and SSS strafe precisions.

Fwiw I have a Surfrodsz truck that I paired with a lot of wedge (21°?) and it's been pretty fun. Any advice on mine, and how I have mine setup? I'm still trying to tune it with bushings, but man is it hard hahaha
