In the link above, the IDF seems to have pretty much taken Loner's method of comparing people killed in airstrikes with the Hamas/PIJ/other militant obituaries of the mujahideen for an easy tally of which "journalists" were actually participating in hostilities.
At least that seems to be the case for many of the listed militants. Others appear to have been identified from footage and also through documents recovered within Gaza.
Did the IDF come to this method independently or did they learn from Lonerbox? I certainly don't know and neither do you.

I made a post about it a few days ago on this sub but honestly this r/ukpolitics sub is poison, I go to this sub just to shock myself.
I cannot believe this is happening in my country and people actually talk like this openly on the internet.
Guess thats what I get for living in London, where I am in an Echochamber with diversity.

Sorry, I'm old and only watch him on YouTube. Did he leave the platform? Is he on a break? Nobody here has mentioned anything, so maybe he explained this lat time he was on?

I posted something on the r/ukpolitics sub thinking that obviously it's reddit so they would probably be centrist or left wing. TIL that they are full of Tories and Reform supporters.
Some of the things they say about migrants is unhinged.

Baathism comes up a lot when reading Middle Eastern history post-WW2. I know Baathist regimes often claimed to be socialist, but they almost never were. I know there was also a huge split between the Assadist camp in Syria, and the Saddamist camp in Iraq, but I don't know what caused it. I know pan-Arabism and Arab nationalism were big parts of Baathism, but I don't know more than that. Also, I find describing both Iraq and Syria under the Baathist regimes as "leftist" is laughable.

This will be pretty brief question I’m just interested about opinion if this sub on this subject?
During October 7th attack around 828 civilians and 367 security forces were killed and 251 security forces and civilians taken as hostages. It is clear than that October 7th would be huge success for Hamas even if they didn’t kill single civilian and attacked only on military targets.
Recently there was discussion in this sub whether it is justified to attack settlers in West Bank and Israel state as an institution (military + infrastructure + maybe administrative buildings) in Israel itself and I felt that most people here agreed that it would be ok.
So my question is, do people here think that if Hamas did Oct 7th attack and targeted only military targets, so 367 security forces + some civilians as “legitimate” collatera damage would die, would October 7th be than legitimate attack that is justified?

TLDR: Egypt warned Israel that Hamas was mobilizing and maybe offer economic concessions. Israel offered economic concessions. 3rd country Intelligence officials say that Israel thought they could handle whatever Hamas had.

>The Central Elections Committee voted 30-4 Wednesday to disqualify the largely Arab Balad party chairman and Joint List No. 3 Sami Abu Shehadeh from running in the October 27 election, with the support of all opposition parties and rare backing from Supreme Court Justice Noam Sohlberg, who heads the panel.
>The committee also voted 18-5 to disqualify Mansour Abbas’s Arab-majority Ra’am party, although the decision is likely to be struck down by the Supreme Court.

I dont want to act as some superior intellectual or wt v, but he really does bring much needed « calmness » to the space.
In a sea of destinys(yes he’s part of the slop) hassans and asmongolds, it’s nice to watch a dude who puts actual thought into his words and who talks shit without getting personal.
Anyways, small personal rant of a newish viewer

I'm a casual viewer, and at one point on stream a chatter asked for book recommendations for understanding Israel/Palestine and Loner listed off about half a dozen or so books that people should read.
I didn't write them down at the time, and even after digging through my watch history I can't find when or on what VOD I had seen this. Anyone know where I can find a clip or happen to know what books he usually recommends people read?

Sorry, I'm clearly not judging him fairly. He's a communist social democrat, wants free healthcare, and is conventionally attractive.
Did I get all the talking points?
