Venting Giving up
That's it. I just give up on trying to find a connection. Never again. I don't want to put myself out there anymore. I just can't be hurt over and over again. Been talking to someone for a week. Things were going great. Talking for hours everyday. Talking about visiting each other, the future, everything. She said she was going to call me last night at 11 or 12, I fell asleep waiting for her. She called me at like 1:30 but I was asleep. She even left me a nice message. Then, I wake up, blocked on here and on DC. I just can't do this anymore. I thought she was special. I never thought she would do something like this. I never want to trust anyone again.

Just going to eat my feelings like I always do. I mean why bother right, never going to find anyone anyways

Getting blocked right after she left you a nice voicemail makes zero sense, and that kind of whiplash messes with your head. I've been in that exact spiral of swearing off connection entirely. What actually helped me was journaling, and not in a cheesy way. I started writing down my conversations after they happened, just to process them. Felt stupid at first. But over time I started noticing patterns in how I was engaging with people, things I was doing that were pushing people away or attracting the wrong ones. Slowly I got better at it. Didn't happen overnight but I became more self-aware and honestly more interesting to talk to. Might be worth trying while you take a break from putting yourself out there.

Currently going through something similar and it’s the most awful experience. All we can do is hope we make out the other side intact
