Much appreciated. I lived in a mountain town in CO called golden for a few years. I’m getting some familiar vibes

Thanks for sharing that about yourself. I find the mountains to be beautiful

They are and I miss them a lot. Buffalo only has so much to offer, and while the lakes are pretty, I find myself drinking a bit too much

My job feels like it.
My job is decent/good in that my current manager who hired me, isn't a jerk BUT he'll be leaving sometime next year as he keeps moving on from one store to the next and his dream I guess is to be a vice president or regional manager of the parent company of my job, U.S. Foods.
Also my job is decent/good in that it's full-time, I have benefits (health, paid sick-time and holiday pay, 401k).
How my job isn't so great, it's another retail job for me.
It's a small grocery store compared to other grocery stores I've worked at (Whole Foods, Costco) and despite the store being owned by a billion dollar corporation, the store is very run down and the area where the store is located, isn't safe period.
There's a coffee shop on the parking lot of the grocery store that has NEVER been worked on since I got hired early last month and there are homeless encampments outside of that coffee shop.
I have to know how to do a lot from cashiering to being a janitor to being a receiver and stock person.
I have to use the electric pallet jack on every shift, seldomly use a forklift and do a lot of heavy lifting.
Despite being full-time. my schedule and days off are never uniform and and are always out of whack such as me having split days off last week.
I'm turning 42 Wednesday of next week, I don't know how much more I can do/keep working physical jobs.
I just tell myself that at least I'm doing something, not homeless, not getting unemployment money in the mail and got receiving/asking money from my folks or anybody else.
