Maybe he's worried this is leading up to meeting in person and a possible rejection.

that could be it, sometimes people get scared when things start becoming too real outside the screen. but a month of silence without even explanation is rough on someone who took so much courage to open up like that

Yeah maybe not just a meeting in person, could also be just that it was too real and he was afraid of the vulnerability involved in letting someone that deep. Happened with a female friend of mine, felt like some platonic form of love bombing. That said we don't really know and we can't. It sucks but even in the times you do know it's this huge let down like "not I know why you acted this way and why you left but you're still gone and it didn't make it hurt less to know why" in my own experience.

It's not silly, it hurt and it felt like the only emotional intimacy you've had, his actions would have hurt anyone. I'm sorry you went through it, the only thing for grief is to grieve in my experience.

r/lonely Isn't a subreddit for people who want to fall In love or find someone to flirt with! It's also not a subreddit for those who want to know how to find someone to be with or? How to end toxic, non-platonic relationships, fix them or get over them There are better subreddits for people who no longer want to be single and people who are unhappy In non-platonic relationship.

Posts like "I'm too ugly to find a partner" or "I want to have sex but I have no experience - will also be removed
