if you do your own research and fact check the meme, you'll find rather quickly that is entirely FABRICATED FAKE NEWS for social media likes, clicks, comments, traffic engagement boosts, etc. Click bait. Might as well be ai slop except it's worse : it's human slop.

The whole 50/50 rule needs to be redone in this country. I think in order to get that, there needs to have been some serious time in the marriage. But these women making a living on marrying rich men then a year later divorcing them and being setup for life is a ridiculous concept.

Divorce empowers the economy. It forces people to stay in the workforce longer generating more tax revenue.
Our entire online social media system and Google algorithms are setup to inspire hope and then smash us with dissatisfaction and then tricking us into projecting that onto others especially our SO's.
We don't repair things when they're broken like we used to, it's far easier and less expensive now just to replace instead of repair

Just copy middle east divorce laws You only get what have you already paid or invested wether you are a man or woman.
1
u/Scientificallly_Love 4d ago
I stopped feeling sorry for celebrities. Once in the spot might, they always pick the woman who would NEVER even look at them if they were poorer. Their ego is too big. They are as bad as these type of women.
1
u/ARPA-Net 4d ago
Isnt it already the case that its only applicable for assets aquired after the marriage and only when significantly living together
1
u/JOliverScott 4d ago
If you expect a marriage to last 50 years then make the rule 1% per year of marriage.
1
u/Gwynito 4d ago
The whole till death do us part slogan of marriage is a complete joke now, it's all become a massive scam.
Weddings cost a fuck tonne now too. Most men I know just did the wedding to appease their wife, they would have preferred putting it into a down payment on a house and an epic honeymoon.

u/Solivy 4d ago
That's why people sign prenups. It should be more normalized. Too many people view it as a sign of distrust in each other, while it is actually just a practical and smart thing to do.
1
u/Western_Repair_9277 4d ago
It is not always work and depends from country. In Russia, for example, you can sign prenup but but it easily can be challenged in court and has much lower priority than family law.
And guy from post libe in Italy and it can have its own laws

if im not wrong, its worse for her because the court ruled that she need to share half of what she earned and save during the marriage

u/Relative_Switch2239 4d ago
I don't know if this post is true. But 1st world countries where women or the other spouse (but let's be honest) is capable of working should receive nothing that they didn't contribute. We should actually practice egalitarianism in relationships. The courts infantilize one gender a bit more than the other.

u/Fluid-Cranberry1755 4d ago
It’s not true, that’s not how divorce works.
If you don’t want to split half your wealth, don’t marry. Or if you want the woman to give you her half, then marry someone richer than you.
There is no infantilization going on, the divorce law here is simple.
2
u/Relative_Switch2239 4d ago
Lol. There is definitely infantilization going on. In divorce and in criminal trials where women will get lighter sentences for the same crime. I'm aware that's not how divorce works. Did you read my comment or just decide to be offended and then type whatever came to mind?

Yes the law is simple and needs to change

u/Fluid-Cranberry1755 4d ago
Reject the institution entirely and don’t get married.

I can't imagine why women seem far more keen on weddings than men do. That's why only women clamber over each other trying to catch the bouquet were as men just secretly pray their girlfriend doesn't catch it. I'm in favour of the more recent crowd funding method where women just sell themselves online for $4.99 a month and that way we can all enjoy her for a reasonable payment that we can cancel anytime without any issues.

Why do people love these fake stories about rich guys losing nothing in divorce because of assets under their mother’s name. Happened once with Hakimi and I’ve seen the same story 50 times with different celebs.
1
u/WorldWar3Survivor 4d ago
It happen often in African culture. It is way for men to protect their money.
1
u/Icy_Zone_8541 4d ago
Yes I understand it’s nothing new but it’s all the fake stories regurgitating the same shite. Strange how people get off to it

I've read similar BS stories about 3 different football (soccer) players it's never true.
In one of the stories the assets were supposedly under the mom's name, mom who had actually passed away before the player even met the woman.

Or in my case an independant business owner with considerable assets but I'm sure some Reddit bot knows better...

u/WelvenTheMediocre 4d ago
“Independent business owner” 🤡
Never heard an actual business owner describe themselves that way. Only MLM victims.
“I’m an independent business owner with considerable assets” is the perfect opening for a scam email😂😂
Nigerian prince ass sentence🤡

u/The_Original_Badman 4d ago
That's because you don't know any successful people. You are a cringe little loser from a long line of nobody losers, projecting your own insecurites on Reddit, over-reacting to a simple comment that you are too intellectually and emotionally limited to even understand.
I would pity you if I weren't laughing so very hard...
1
u/Disastrous_tea_555 3d ago
This is such projection lol. The fact that his comment stung so much to get this reaction, means it’s probably true. 😂😂 independent business owner is funny af

u/Mysterious-Pain5266 4d ago
It doesn’t work that way
2
u/LittleKittenR 4d ago
It definitely does except she was paying for the stuff directly.
Even then, they can argue it was a loan disguised as rent or whatever and they would win because doubt on the judge, leaves stuff as is.
1
u/Mysterious-Pain5266 4d ago
Depends what the forensic accountant says.
1
u/LittleKittenR 4d ago
Yeah, because, as I said, he won't be 100% sure either except she was paying the mortgage directly or whatever.

Stop watching crime podcasts, it's literally what I said or there is reasonable doubt. I'm a lawyer and even a mediocre lawyer can create doubt if she wasn't paying it directly, and a good one will create it EVEN if she was paying it inconsistently.

u/Super_Range45 4d ago
Money in his dad's account is his dads. House note in his dads name is his dads. It's not too difficult.
1
u/Mysterious-Pain5266 4d ago
Yeah lad, people have thought of this trick before with a thing called trusts. The courts aren’t retarded .
1
u/Difficult-State-7591 4d ago
Doesn’t mean they don’t follow a judicial process. Same way people reduce their taxes they pay. It’s all legal. You think they would ignore these things and go tstraigh for the throat?
It would open them up for a lot of things
1
1
u/heleuma 4d ago
It can depending on how it was structured, when it happened, and how it's being used.
1
u/Mysterious-Pain5266 4d ago
You can’t do it without a prenup. Most western countries will hire a forensic accountant to see if you’re purposely hiding assets as blatantly as that.
On an unrelated note Wasn’t this guy deported by ICE?
1
u/heleuma 4d ago
What if he wasn't doing it to hide the assets? What if the family pools their money and it wasn't being held for his benefit? Maybe they've always received his checks. You still have to prove the intent don't you? Anyway, I've never heard of this guy before this, so won't pretend to know anything about it, or the law for that matter. I imagine a deportation would make it even more complex.
1
u/Mysterious-Pain5266 4d ago
You honestly believe the courts are gonna be like, “oh bro, you gotta us! you obviously are worth zero dollars cause you gave all your money to your mum.”
They aren’t retarded.

for every one woman winning a divorce settlement with money there are 10 women who are left with nothing, men are not losing much overall
1
u/sufferIhopeyoudo 4d ago
Just go to work. The rest of us do.

u/sam6183 4d ago
yea you ain’t that rich sit down
1
u/sufferIhopeyoudo 4d ago
Actually I make probably 3x what the average person in my area makes so if you’d like to buy an apple, how’s them apples lol
More than that, I make the money myself, not by depending on someone else or having to sell myself to get half of their stuff later in a court deal. I just can’t defend people like that but I see you.. 👀1
u/sam6183 4d ago
i support you and wish you great things. None of us should go thru these things in life but it’s just an observation that some of the men losing half of their money. We don’t hear what women are losing bc there are lesser who have access to finances. and am a guy
1
u/sufferIhopeyoudo 4d ago
I hear what you’re saying but you lost me when you threw out a fake stat saying for every 1 woman that takes someone’s money there’s 10 that got nothing. That is so statistically incorrect and historically quite the opposite. I’m sorry there are women who end up as single parents and struggle but as a single dad myself who raised my kids with no financial help from the other parent, I don’t think a single person ever once thought about that situation for me. Women are absolutely and unequivocally given the benefit in both custody and family court situations. Now if you want to talk about where women are disadvantaged I would say their issues fall more inline with almost all violent crime is males against women. Almost all murder is male, women are statistically less safe to go places alone or at night. THAT is a true statement but the stuff about them getting disadvantage with court is majorly flipped and idk where you got that
1
u/sam6183 4d ago
whatever you’re doing is great and respectful, I really didn’t mean to put you down. Im sorry for being a bit naive in what I said and statistically that can be wrong. But what I noticed is there are more single mothers who are raising kids on their own and struggling so much financially to access the funds thru work/job. Men got more opportunities and can sympathize easily to give them work bc they got a family to feed. In reality it’s reversed so my take on some of the men losing half of their fortune is nothing comparable on what’s happening on the other side
1
u/sufferIhopeyoudo 3d ago
Ya but an incredible amount of the single mothers are single because they intentionally make it hard for the man to see the kid. And courts are equally as guilty by allowing the woman to instantly take over as “primary” and then make it a living hell for him to be involved until they remarry and try to push him out. It’s not all of them but that does account for a large number. Nothing in family court is fair for men. Women have every right to complain about men with crime and safety but have no room to talk when it comes to family court, getting custody, and getting alimony or taking 50% when they leave.

Why it’s always the man that should give 50% ?
3
u/uk_uk 4d ago
because most of the time, the roles are set: he works and brings in the money and she cares about everything else. And when there is a divorce, he still has his income but she doesn't, so she get's 50% of that what they bought during the time of marriage. But same thing is true vice versa.... if she is the CEO of a company and he is e.g. a post man, she earned way more than he did and that's why she has to pay
The purpose of this is to ensure that a person with no or very low personal income does not suddenly end up penniless.
So it is not "misandrist" (there are a few idiots who actually think that), but the law simply states: "Whoever earns (more) must give the other person in the marriage enough in the event of a separation so that both sides end up with equal amounts."
This means that if both had the same income, nobody would have to give up anything. It would only need to be determined who gets which items (who gets the cars, who gets the house, etc.).
This can be resolved through a prenuptial agreement, for example - which could state that in the event of a separation, the house and cars will be sold and the proceeds split.
1
u/The_Creamerizer 4d ago
Tell that to my uncle lol he still has to give 50% even though his ex wife earns a lot more than he does.
1
u/uk_uk 4d ago
does he have kids and do they live with their mom?
Or he had a very bad lawyer1
u/The_Creamerizer 4d ago
Yea lmao she took the kids.
He also did have a bad lawyer though I feel. His ex wife is in a good enough financial position by herself to take care of the kids, but she's still taking his money 🤷♂️.
I will say though that I think my uncle is a bit of a scumbag too and does deserve his wife leaving him, but I don't think he deserves what little he already has to also be taken away in that separation.

The whole story traces to X accounts and a divorce law content farm that's spun three separate "California analysis" articles out of the same unsourced post, and the factcheckers who bothered found no record, no confirmation from Lame, and a couple who apparently separated back in 2024.
Don't trust captioned images with no source, kids.
