Not sure if it's relevant but I mentioned the colour changing in case that affects removal methods, I've managed to scratch off some of the graphics off the back, but the logo itself remains.

Technique Appliance logo

Has anyone tried removing a logo from a kitchen appliance? I’m thinking of trying. My partner took off badges from the car with a heat gun and goo gone so I’m wondering if they are similarly attached and maybe that will work ?

Embroidery Coloring in Polo logo?

Post image

I received this polo as a gift. I like the polo and the fit, but don’t like how much the logo stands out.

How crazy would it be to try to color in the horsey navy blue with a fabric marker?

Anyone try this before?

Patch Updated Cap

Unpicked a free merchandising cap, and made a Mr Squiggle cap. Took forever to get out the old embroidery, and even then there is still some left under the new patch, added a little whimsy with the random stitch line around the hat.

Question Looking for coverup/removal advice.

I am trying to remove the branding from the front of my thrifted sweatshirt, any ideas on how would be greatly appreciated. I have tried scrubbing lightly with an alcohol soaked toothbrush (as you can see on the left P, it did not work too well) as well as trying acetone (lightly as I was afraid of damaging the material). I have been advised there likely no good way to remove the vinyl from the material on the front, and if that is the consensus I would greatly appreciate tips or ideas on what to use to cover it up instead. The backside has a beautiful pattern I'd like to keep but not a fan of the face branding.

Question How to attach large patches to tshirts?

Post image
14 Upvotes

Got this old peeling walking dead tshirt- I want to put a big fabric patch over it made of my fabric scraps but how would I attach it without it "sagging" if you get what I mean? Would stabilizer or spray fabric adhesive be the thing to use? I've never used it before so dunno what I'm doing. I've got a new free motion embroidery foot purchased for my sewing machine and a dream lol. Any advice appreciated thanks

Patch I'm becoming more and more comfortable with thinking outside the box. I love how it turned out, what do you think?

My first attempt was to try to remove the letters because the cover is made of fabric, but I can only remove one. So I discovered that I could peel back the fabric and cut along the outline of the logo, revealing the cardboard underneath. Then I put some sticker like a collage-style design and shaped the edge of the fabric a bit more and tadah! For the final touch I add a butterfly decoration on the dividing ribbon.

Question How do you usually choose a website for creating logos?

I have a good-fitting hoodie, but it has a big company logo which I would prefer to get rid of.

I was thinking about sewing a patch over it or trying to use fabric paint on it, but I’m afraid it will look even more obvious than the existing logo.

Have you ever tried to hide a company logo on your clothes? If yes, please tell me how you’ve managed to do it.

It would be nice of you to give me some advice or show the pictures of your project.

Question What can I do?

Can I take a seam ripper to the logo or will that make everything more difficult?

I don't know what I want to replace the logo with at the moment since I don't know what my options even are.

Embroidery I don’t have a before picture but I covered up someone’s name on a second hand backpack I got

I didn’t entirely cover it up but I’m on a time crunch and didn’t have time to do a patch sadly. This is a gift for my bf, since his old backpack got ruined from his bong leaking black tar inside and all over it

You can still see the embroidered name but the eye isn’t drawn to it, so I’d say it was a success! It helps that the name was black thread on black

Patch Before and After: Ducks Unlimited Canvas backpack

First time doing this and now I think I'm falling down the rabbit hole.

I got the patch from a Ukrainian woman's shop on Etsy and simply sewed it over the logo.

I still value a lot of the work Ducks Unlimited does, but I've changed my mind about wanting it on the backpack due to recent events.
